King Of Fighters 12 or Blazblue?

They’re both better than Brawl and it’s community.

King of Fighters more like represents old “niche” like fighting games while Blazblue is more the mainstream game new age type game. While admittedly King of Fighters lacks the polish and content of Blazblue, what do you really want in a fighting game? Story modes and shit? Or the actual vs mode (offline)? Both games provide good offline vs mode game play at least imo so it just depends on what you want in your system mechanics.

Darn vs threads.

What can I say, you got me. No. The point here is, the fundamental gameplay structure/mechanics of GGXXAC is the same as BlazBlue. Even the pace of the games are almost identical. The only thing different about the games are the characters. Now KOF. The gameplay structure/mechanics are meant to reminiscent of KOF 96 - 98. Now, that I think about it, KOF does use features from the older KOF games. But, it is meant to.

Here’s an analogy: If I change clothes and walk out the same house daily, am I someone different. No. I am the same person. If I change clothes and walk out the same house but, try to pass myself off as someone else, am I someone different? No, I am the same person.

I have both games. I enjoy both equally. BlazBlue for the high hitting, crazy combos. KoF XII for the old school feel of KOF '96 - '98.

What my original point was: to each, his own.

What’s worse:

-accidentally picking a wrong character in KoFXII, and not being able to back out until finishing character/stage selection, sitting through the loading screen, and waiting for round 1 to start?

or

-playing BB for 10 minutes after playing Guilty Gear for 10 years, and finding out it’s 80% similar?

It’s too close to call. You’ll just have to purchase both or just keep typing stupid anime shit like “^___^”.

Mmmm I wish I were a premium to negrep you but what the hell lol.

I dont like Guilty esque or Kof but I would pick BB just for a different ride. Also I will consider Battle Fantasia even being a bit old.

I hear mashing the D button was fun.

I agree with you. To each, his own.

Haha. Wow.

Not to say BB is GGXXX, but… BB is closer to GGXXAC+ than KOF XII is to KOFXI, dude.

The only reason you don’t have mashers in KoF XII is because their is no functioning online play.

Why not get BB now and then wait for all the KOFXII problems like the online and Raiden glitch have been patched before picking it up cheaper 2nd hand?

nope. Frankly just mashing is a great way to lose to someone who doesn’t suck in either game.

As a GG fan myself, I’m wondering to as why you feel that way (I haven’t played BB, so I’m curious).

if you don’t like MVC2 or guilty gear, then blazblue is not for you.

kof12 does not worth 60 dollars, wait untill it reaches 30 or less

If you are GG fan, I think you’ll like BlazBlue. What set this game apart from GG are the drives. Each characters has them, which gives each character an unique advantage over the others. Example, Ragna drive allows him to regain life from each hit of his drive attacks. With him, you can be at 25% with a full super meter, not to give anything away) if done right can win a round with a perfect.

Now if you read any of my previous post, you would know I am a KOF fan. But, more importantly, I am a fighting game fan.

So, go out and pick up BlazBlue. I think you will enjoy it. I do and I am a KOF fan.

for my experience, i love GG and i love BB, yet my brother who also loves GG doesnt like too much BB, i guess cuz he doesnt like some mechanics, like the wakeup system, or the way that the hitstun works, the speed of the game, the low range of almost every normal of the chars (except for ragna and litchi with the Bo) to name a few, people like to say that BB and GG are very similar, they dont, belive me on this, only cuz you like gg, doesnt mean that you would like bb, also ignore winback, the history has proven that he is a stupid tool
