You clearly do not understand what I’m saying. Why would you want to limit yourself playing a character that was clearly made for a stick in mind? I use a keyboard, and I hate it, but I have no choice until I get my stick. I want to smash my keyboard.
Lol at “characters being made with having XXX device in mind”. Then I can say Kusaregedo was made in keyboard in mind since his most damaging throw command doesnt allows diagonals. But anyway that will lead to idea that in same game different characters were made for different devices and that is ridiculous. Should developers label them or something?
Like “You cannot select character XXX because your arcade stick isnt plugged in” xD
Depends on the user. I can’t hit a standing 360 for shit on a stick, but I can on a keyboard. Hardware means nothing if someone can’t use it, and can mean everything if someone can. You can hate the keyboard all you want, but does it bother you THAT much that there might be someone out there who doesn’t agree with you?
At the arcade, I can do Zangief’s 360’s with ease, on a keyboard I can barely do it. It’s a much harder motion instead of doing a really quick circle using a stick.
Does it bother you that I think the keyboard sucks? Yes, it does. On 2DF I use a keyboard, if you want to play me, then we can play. I hate it… I can’t partition or anything.
I really don’t care if you hate the keyboard. I have no reason to care. You’re just some guy on the internet. What I DO hate, is that you put your own personal experience as fact for every man, woman, and child on Earth. Just because YOU can’t hit a 360 on a keyboard doesn’t mean no one can.
Do you know how an argument works? One person says this, and the other person says that. In the end, it’s all opinions. Unless I point out “medical fact,” which is indeed a "medical fact’ when saying the stick is easier to perform 360s than the keyboard is. I never said you couldn’t do 360s on the keyboard because I have done them ~3-20 tries.
That’s a funny statement, because this thread isn’t an argument over what piece of hardware is better for playing. And once again, you are making your own personal experience out to be fact. There is no “medical proof” on which is easier to do a 360 on, because there have never in the history of medicine been a study on video game hand mechanics. As far as I’m concerned, at this point in the discussion, you are trolling and I refuse to play a part of it. You can talk all the trash and lie as much as you want, I will not respond to you.
Have you never picked up a pad or arcade stick before? Left hand is always used for movement, if you are using your right hand for movement then you are the southpaw. boots up halo3 to double check Yep right hand movement=southpaw
That is the second window, doesn’t show the movement just the actions, all you need to know is that movement is done with the right thumb, press in for crouch. Left thumb is for look, press in to zoom. There are about 5 different layouts in halo3 and they can all be used with the left handed setup aswell.
Some games don’t support lefthanders that link I posted goes to an online store that mods gamepads for lefties.
I have this problem. My movement is on the right with a keyboard, but for stick, and pads it’s left. :looney: Explain this problem because it makes no sense.
It is a personal preference.
Like computer mice, I like a Razer Diamondback,
my sister likes a Dharma Point DRTCM03,
a lot of others prefer a Logitech / Logicool.
I also like an hard plastic mouse pad while others like a soft cloth mouse pad.
My friend prefers keyboard over joy pad and joy stick.
He plays best that way, so we accept that.
He can do 360, 720 and Pretzel motions with ease on a keyboard,
while I can not and need either a joy stick or a joy pad.
We each adapted to use another type of controller.
Currently we are taking it so far that we are going to make a Keyboard Controller.
Because playing with converters can get really annoying.
It will use Sanwa OBSF-24-KK (square buttons) as direction keys.
I don’t know, it shouldn’t matter, at the end of the day its just typing doesn’t matter where the keys are aslong as you understand how to type. Can you touch type, or do you need to look at the keys your are pressing? :wonder:
I have a friend who is left handed but is right footed, when fighting he doesn’t have a proper lead because they are always reversed
Do they do other colours!?
I’d liked to see him do 720, does he use the shortcuts, ie piledriver isnt really a 360 motion but a 270.
