low forward doesn’t have time to confirm you have to cancel it. BUT…I feel like I get about as much time as Alex’s cl.forward.
Thanks for your input, however I was talking low strong.
You have no idea what a confirm is, do you?
He is just a bad player really.
a hit confirm is a link according to what other players tell me. I always thought of it as just seeing your attack hit and reacting to it. You know? Like confirming your last action. But this is a japanese game. So yeah.
and THIS bad player would molly-whop pherai any day of the week.
Thanks for the input. My problem with mp > hp > super seems to be that I have trouble executing it in general. I find that throwing the fireball out helps me not screw it up.
I’m not very good at far mp > super either. Man, I suck at this game.
without a fireball, it only does like a few points more of damage so it really doesn’t make too much of a difference unless you really need those 2-3 points.
far mp super just takes practice.
anyone have any good setups for linking st.mp into SA3?
mix it up with throw setups.
i cant try stuff out on training mode today, but like what sets up the correct spacing for it (so that cl.mp doesnt come out)?
would like cr.short x3 walk up a bit st.mp–>SA3 work?
there’s the:
cl. mp, st. mp link super
cr. jab, st. mp link super
those aren’t combos but that’s usually two ways I set my opponent up for mp super.
quick question to anyone, who does st. mp whiff on if they’re crouching? I’m assuming chun, ibuki, yun, yang and oro. Maybe Elena. Anyone else?
I wanna try and think about when it’s safe to actually attempt a st. mp link. And this is valuable info in that department.
Geez I sound like saisyu kusanagi.
you sure cr.jab, st.mp link SA3 works? for some reason i feel like that’d be too close and cl. mp would come out instead.
Yeah it works. I stole it from Valle a long time ago when we I played at his pad. I use it to this day, but maybe I just set up the distance myself without realizing it?
s.mp into super isn’t some gimmick that requires a specific setup, it’s like asking someone, “what’s a good setup for short short super” the mixup is attack/throw/block, go from there…seriously.
No specific set up, I think Far st.mp should be in your mix-up anyways, So if it hits just super.
Really? It’s that simple?
Those specific setups are throw tech baits. I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to give them a shot. Lots of Jap kens bait throw techs.
Distance yourself about halfway across the screen from them, reach over xx push them away from the cab xx Dash —> sa3. Works every time and easy to hit confirm.
Except that you get reversal supered by their fist right after.
Depends on who they are and how much meter they have…
