? Karas 101 - Yurine will guide you to victory

Assuming the character can be infinited, (this needs testing) you can probably do 5B 5C into infinite. Otherwise, do it into the mega crash combo.

If you’re not 100% on the infinite then you shouldn’t be relying on it all that much imo… it’s not as easy as it looks. Basically when you screw up for the most part it’s a free combo for them and I’m sure I don’t have to remind you guys how ridiculously weak Karas is.

That leaves you with:

1.Megacrash combo loop (Offensive MC)

2.Playing with “normals” and saving your meter for when you get hit (Defensive MC)

3.Or supers…with the right assist, using supers might not be the worst thing. For the most part, they take 1 bar and since it’s Karas and he builds meter ridiculously fast losing one bar isn’t gonna put him that that far behind.

 1. Or combining the three previous options into a situational “play off of the opponent” style of meter use.

Or…you could just infinite them.

PRACTICE.

A little vid I put together showing the various ways Karas owns the crap out of PTX. Just incase someone ever has the nerve to go PTX in tournaments against one of you guys…

Keep in mind that a smart PTX is going to be jumping a lot, and also keep in mind that PTX’s chainsaw, riot tackle, air C and guns > Karas’s chain.

Oh, and don’t let them guard anything. They’ll get chip life for baroque and that’s exactly what they want.

LOL I’m confused as to why Samurai never mentioned this but apparently I’ve been messing up the infinite because I often accidentally cancel the Kasha with 1C.

I always noticed this happening at times but I didn’t realize that it canceled the hitbox until a few days ago. (Been trying to post it to help some people out but SRK has been retarded lately due to SF4).

So if any of you guys out there are having trouble with the infinite like I was it could be that you’re going from 6B to 1C too fast. With a little bit of experimenting I started to notice that the infinite’s timing isn’t as strict as I thought it was. It was just me going too fast and cancelling the Kasha…which of course dropped the infinite. Now I’m pretty much 100% on the infinite now. Lol the timing is a joke

By the way…when I was practicing the infinite on Megaman the other day it was comboing wtih 4-6A instead of 4-6B…I mean 4-6B still works of course but the A version makes is so much easier and somehow it was comboing…this game is just weird with the weights and how it effects combos but whatever, more ease for Karas.

Karas’s infinite is VERY hard to do on a loose gamecube controller D:

just gives up. Thinks about ordering a joystick

It’s pretty hard in general. It takes a lot of practice to be consistent with it.

If you need to get the timing down you can try doing it vs. PTX with 4-6A. The timing is about the same as a normal character but you won’t mess up PTX’s because he’s weird and even if the combo is dropped you can still hit him.

Yeah that’s funny how that works. Lightan as well. I wonder if there’s actually a way for the two of them to escape it that we’re all overlooking?

Either way, this game has sooooo many silly glitches and bugs lololol

Yah, this game feels really incomplete. Combos not working on every character, OTG infinites, weight classes affecting combos, Karas lol.

I love it but I hate it at the same time…oh well, might as well exploit it.

discover everything wrong with this game and make loads of videos about it so that Capcom has a bigger chance of fixing it all in the sequel. XD

Also, what does Karas have that outranges Tekkaman’s j.C?

Nearly every fighting game has character specific combos.

yup, most games have weight class affecting fall speed etc.

yea. i’m a super smash brothers melee player and that is probably the most specific game i’m ever played in my life. each character matchup requires a different play style (with exceptions of course). I think it’s a good thing. Separates the good players from the bad.

That’s also a staple for most fighting games. TvC is not really looking so much like that yet, but the game is developing.

If you were at TO4, I think I remember facing you at pools. Yeah, the character matchup thing applies for the many fighting games as well. As power333 said, TvC is still developing, but don’t be surprised to see similar situations with character matchups =P

ha! you’re right. yea we did play, i remember your name.
anyway, on topic, karas rules.

FYI grego got bodied free by marn… i guess the talk can stop now.

Lol talking about yourself in the third person is cool.

I don’t get it, I didn’t say anything about myself in 3rd person. o_O;
