U mean the part art 0:44 where he dashes forward and jumps dashes backwards all while not changing the direction he was facing?
Yeppppppp. I wonder if him facing the other direction changes the way you have to block?
Also, messing with this, it seems like it’d be really hard to block if you did something like say…dash through call assist so it hits them as you start to dash back over their head and then cross over and hit on the other side. Or if you call assist so it hits in that period between being in front of them and being behind them. A cool thing I noticed is you can actually fake a cross up dash if you cancel into 2A at the last second before he goes through them, he just pops back where he was magically doing 2A
Only problem with karas’s jump ins is that if they crouch and you do your jump in ASAP so he falls faster, they whiff. So I guess it’s not so useful unless they stand up.

i picked up karas last night. fuck karas. he’s too good. i’lll have fun pummeling people with him. i still like my jun, chun, and ryu though.
So many people maining Karas, and all this attention due to brokenness…
At this rate, top 5 in tournaments will definitely be all Karas.
Character communities are going to have to develop structured, dedicated anti-Karas techs and strategies (if those exist aside from “be patient and block”). Otherwise it’ll just stay Karas vs Karas.
Already there are people revolving tiers and character potential around Karas… how capable the character is at beating Karas, etc…
I don’t know why you guys up kara’s up so much, he’s fast and has easy combo’s, but it doesn’t equal it when you put his low defense in the picture. Every karas user messes up atleast once in the match and when he does you take advantage.
At higher levels of play this might not happen. But still i enjoy my Ryu/Chun Li team much more then Karas :3
Karas is the man, he (and only he) enables Souki to do his infinite!

Got nothing to hide, I mean people are gonna find it out anyway if I were to use it at tournaments so why not have everything out in the open. The best players win regardless of what their opponents know anyway so don’t call me stupid for releasing my secrets…it’s all about skill and HOW you use the things you KNOW. Knowledge is only half of it.
Exciting! Unless there’s something bizzare going on, shouldn’t roll assist be able to do it too? It puts the enemy in the same stagger state, just has a little longer range, which is why both of them work so well with the Casshern dog stuff too. I’ll wait to see it tho. anyways </off topic>

And Roll can’t do it, I just tried it…doesn’t work with her and it doesn’t have anything to do with assists. It requires a specific move property that only Karas has.
All I’ll say is this, if you get this infinite in (which requires 3 levels) you automatically win the game if there’s a time limit. It’s so retarded. I thought it was Mega Crashable until we just tested it which is why I’m changing my mind about revealing it…

Yeah I could see it happening. I’ve been trying desperately to figure something like that out with roll myself. There are only a couple situations (I’m aware of) where you can’t crash, 1. during a super 2. if you’re being hit on the ground. My guess is that it’s #2, unless there’s some bug that lets a super state just keep going, although I wasn’t aware of Souki having any OTG hits.

oh, and does this have something to do with the Karas + Souki DHC where you time Karas’s spinning sword super so that it hits the opponent while they’re OTG and it gets a really weird animation?

Huh? Honestly I don’t even like Souki(Samanosuke all the way:wgrin:), but I am interested in how you can get sword spin super to hit OTG. Got a video by chance?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it; seems specific to that DHC, and at a very specific time at that. It is strange though and I could see something weird coming from that.
If it requires 3 levels, its very likely a 3 part DHC or a duo super that sets something up.
Haha, wow… screwing around with the OTG Sword Spin Super DHC I found the Souki/Karas infinite… Silven is right, you can’t Mega Crash out, and it is by FAR the easiest infinite EVER. Lame.
Since he said he wanted to save it for Winter Brawl, I’ll respect that and leave it up to him to post it or not.
That out of the way, anyone have any insight as to why Karas’ super will hit OTG like that, and stemming from that any ideas for other supers that might do the same?
IMO, the super isn’t terribly useful because of the limited ways to combo into it, but if there’s a way to get it to hit OTG like that it could become a much better DHC option.
is it something like fire thingy super catch them off the bounce with swordspin dhc to the green sword super then inf from there
