Have you ever been in a major tournament? have you ever play a well known player face to face? You can be like desk and do some crazy ass combo in training mode and still drop easiest combos when under pressure. He doesn’t get paid to play this game. He get sponsor to go out to events which he would have to pay on his own. he’s doing very well in marvel which is the game that he made his name with anyway.

Yeah, Justin’s great in MvC3. Make him team captain of the USA Marvel team. He actually plays that game.

What you’re saying is dumb as hell, and you don’t have to play the game at a high level to understand that. Being stronger than your opponent in the mindgames might give you more openings, but the game is also about capitalizing on those openings. This is obvious. Justin may very well be one of the strongest players in the US even when consistently dropping FADC into Ultra, and that’s sad, especially since he’s admittedly not serious about the game.

Even if Justin’s been lazy in his approach to the game, he still has more high stakes experience against top international players than other people mentioned. That matters when it comes to nerves. And I thought Ricky over Floe made more sense too, but obviously Justin trains with Floe so he sees something in him that most of us don’t. And the duplicate character issue.

Also other teams had suboptimal situations going on. Japan 2 had BAS for instance (no discredit to BAS, CVS2 fucking legend, but he’s still new to SF4).

It wasn’t just dropping combos, it was dropping basic shit that you need to compete over and over. Did any of you actually watch Justin’s performance at Season’s Beatings? There was something like 6 FADC into Ultras dropped in that tournament and the 5v5 at crucial points and that obvious lack of preparation unfortunately carried over to Canada Cup. You just don’t see that kind of thing from top players. Justin’s super strong fundamentals carried him to top 8, but that shit’s not enough against the highest level of competition.

Justin’s getting paid to play Street Fighter, doesn’t even practice the game, and he still acts like he’s the shit. How can you respect that?

Until Justin can remember how to FADC into Ultra, he should not be representing any region in an AE team tournament, and he SURE AS SHIT should not be talking smack to any Japanese pros. You’re confident against Kazunoko, Justin? That’s funny, because I’m confident in the ability of a C rank online scrub to hit combos that you’ve consistently dropped in the last two majors, and Kazunoko is probably the second best AE player on the planet. You’re not even close to his level.

0-2 against Japan is tough to swallow, especially when there was a potentially better US Rufus standing about two feet away watching you drop the soap with the rest of us. The days of you being dominant in the US Street Fighter scene are clearly over, and unless you step your shit up in a big way, you’ll be holding those L’s along with the rest of your fans.

He obviously failed to fulfill all the expectations, it was such an important event as well… Many americans work 8 hours every day, that means from 9 to 5, so they can support the community financially. And to witness Team USA lose like that. They deserved better.
