My friend says that based off the guide Jin does not have low crouching normals. Is this true? Can someone test this?
They probably just forgot to mention it since it’s standard for low kicks to be low.

What’s Jin’s best reversal option? To get out of those crossup/mixup/vortex things?
So far I’ve been trying out some chains to see if we can hit-confirm a chain while staying safe. For example, Sagat can do c.lp, c.mp, c.hp at max/near max distance and he is virtually safe against let say Ryu’s c.mk or sweep.
However, Jin can only do the same when he is at a certain distance with lets say c.lp, c.mp, st.hp. If st.HP whiffs, free punish. If you do it too close you’ll get a close st.HP and its punishble by Ryu’s c.mk /sweep. st.HK, c.HK isn’t safe.
I’ve been using Jin/Ryu on both sides to test this kind of crap. Meanwhile, Jin’s best punishers is his c.mk and his sweep. I wish b.mp>lp had better hitbox :c
I’ve been doing Cr. lk, cr.lp, St.mkxx SS into anything for my hit-confirm and it feel safe at least.
Anyone know the frame data on his SS follow-up uppercut and down+KK lp and mp follow-ups?
Down+KK to make their jump-in whiff, then LK to run. MP to make them block/hit them if you think the down+KK will auto-correct (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t).
Not sure about the SS follow-ups. But after down+KK, MP is 4 frames (or was it 5 frames), LP is 7 frames.

can Jin not plink cr. kicks without going into Mental Alertness?
I’ve never tried to plink any of jin’s kicks into each other; I’ve never needed to but just by going off the nature of plinking, no, you can’t plink kicks without going into mental awareness. The only possible way I could think it possible were if you plinked a hk with a lk, and maybe the mental awareness only takes two adjacent kick buttons to activate.
So do you guys have any go to frametraps yet? So far the closest thing, aside from varying up normals in pressuring, that I’ve come to a frametrap is cr.mp into far st.hk xx lp.PF It seems like a lot of his moves have good values on block and are good for setting up frame traps, but I’ve mostly been working on landing combos, footsies and anti-air in real matches so far.
I had a similar plinking issue with Poison, I now plink MK with LP.
The safest way is to end every combo with special setp lp… its completly safe…
the chain i prefer is cr.mk, st.hk, hk…
You can always plink any of the kicks by using punch buttons. So, MK~LP, HK~MP etc. For HK you have to use MP since HK+LP is noob combo, and HK+HP is launcher.
But so far I haven’t had to plink any of Jin’s kicks. Timing’s not very strict.
Didn’t know EX Power Stance block crossovers but i cant do any specials out if it. He’ll do it the wrong way XD

Just a heads up if you didn’t know, tag doesn’t activate while crouching, so plinking with MP and MK while crouching is possible.
Incorrect. A lot of characters can super punish it on reversal. Guile can reversal flash kick it. It’s still fine to use just be mindful of your opponents meter.
plinking cr.mk isn’t hard. mk~lp is what you need.
