To be fair (and counter my own point - I’m so productive!) single players can just avoid double teams. I’m one of those masochists that refuses to do so, lol. XD
Anyhow, to steer this back on topic whips steering wheel sharp right
JiBbo, any plans to do an SFxT-centric EVO recap stream once you get back? I imagine you’ll be one of the better resources for talking about actual tech seen there since those of us foolish enough to not put EVO on their schedule (I’m… I’m not bitter at all :bluu: ) won’t be able to see matches pretty much at all.
Speaking of teams, I’ve seen people being “carried” in ranked; like extremely good people “boosting” not so strong players. That is just o_O
I normally don’t play ranked (I like having 0BP). But I see all the monsters (Jibbo, Ryan, King D, Dane, Silph, etc) with A to A+ ranks. If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for me (just not on my main account :D)
I usually run ranked matches with a friend who isn’t quite as good. I let him run point all the time and if he gets destroyed, then we lose because he usually does the worst tags known to man. So, I guess if people are running the high bp player first and the low bp player second, it doesn’t make much sense. The other guy isn’t getting any better. But points don’t matter, so I don’t pay any attention to it and just play my game.
However none of this matters whatsoever since I’m still a scrub, lol.
Playing with a partner usually limits your gameplay more than it helps, at least if you play with an unknown partner. You can´t do easy hit confirm tags or safe tags for a wakeup dp if you don´t tell your partner to mash in the right moment (keep in mind that xbox live chat has a ~ 1 second delay). I see it as a reward for having to give up half of the direct control over a match and thats okay for me.
If you´re a trained team, abusing cross assault and other stuff it´s easily compensable however.
@jibbo thanks dude and its np iam just happy I got money man
And people have a little bit of animosity towards online warriors imo because they will come to offline tourneys kinda cocky and treat there a rank as a badge that shows that they are good but online play is kinda random. Fgs are reaction based and when u put lag and lag spikes into things it matters a lot not to mention that ranked matches aren’t. 2 out 3 matches so u have less time to adapt also. And it doesn’t help that most of the top players use assist gems lol. Me I’m just like jibbo trying to get that crown hahaha my name is king david afteralll
He got out of the pools on winners actually, then he and Sabin lost the next game, eventually getting eliminated by Valle and Online Tony. I think he’s going to discuss everything more in depth soon so I do not want to put words in his mouth, but Sabin and he had difficulties because they were a last second pairing and didn’t really have any practice time. That and Sabin isn’t really too keen on the game.
