Ok, so I read (and I forgot where so don’t kill me) that ALL the music from every region is in except 2 songs.
I personally don’t give a shit about the 2 songs, I just hope this version is a translated De La Jet Set Radio in HD, not a lazy ass “HD” remake like GOW or DMC, I’m talking Stranger’s Wrath quality HD remaster.
fuck that i’m bothered. what in the fuck is taking so long to get this on the psn? what?
its the same damn game with added graffiti from the contest. nothing more.
they aren’t even throwing in future.
probably not throwing in custom graffiti that you can upload from 12oz or wherever.
I thought that was just how the non-Japanese market titled the game. I believe it was Jet Grind Radio in NA and JSR everywhere else.
I’m certainly glad they did change Grind to Set for the sequel come to think of it. Jet Grind Radio Future doesn’t sound as cool as Jet Set Radio Future… Fingers fucking crossed for a 3rd installment…
They originally couldn’t use “Jet Set Radio” in America because of a copyright claim, but that apparently expired a while ago so they’re free to use “Jet Set Radio” in the US.
The product page says there are 29/30 music tracks from the original DC version. A couple months ago the Sega blog said they only had 28. Either it’s a typo or the NA “Grind” version of JSR is completely intact.
Yappie Feet is the only track missing from Jet Grind Radio. The EU JSR had an exclusive track, Many Styles. Hard to complain about 28/30 (or 29/30?) tracks and 99% of the licenced music making the re-release.
Never played it, but for 10 bucks, I will definitely pick up the Vita release the following month. Now, Sega: you would be the shit (and possibly contribute to a lot more Vita purchases) if you slid that Hokuto No Ken Arksys fighter onto PSN for ps3 and Vita, and also made that VF5fs compatible with Vita.
Jet Set Radio missing two songs: Many Styles (Apparently a UK exclusive? Doesn’t move me in anyway…) Yappie Feet (I will miss this song)
Also the 360 is confirmed for 30 achievements since apparently Microsoft has made 400 points a minimum I believe. PS3 will only have 9 trophies but this will include gold trophies like getting all characters aka Jet Rank. Personally I’m happy to play this game again in HD and don’t care too much about the missing songs or lower trophy count.
Already beat the game going for Jet rank on all levels atm. HD port is beautiful and cell shading doesn’t seem to age. Got the game early as a ps plus member but it officially releases for everyone else September 18th. The game also has a mini-doc aka a behind the scenes talking about what it took to create the game.
That is hard to answer tbh, the older versions have the two missing tracks but playing in HD,achievement support and a behind the scenes might not warrant another purchase unless you love it that much. I guess if you are competitive you can scrape the leaderboards again lol.
oh man i will miss that song for sure (yappie feet) wont stop me from getting it though.
i went out and bought points for it today though so they are ready and waiting to be spent the second the game goes online on XBL. Plus points left over for when sonic adventure 2 makes it on there as well.
