Peace!!

Lets all vote on who everyone thinks will win this event.

Pretend you have to bet your entire life savings on 1 team to win - who’s it gonna be?

After that lets hear your thoughts on what teams will likely be in the final 4…

And what teams are your personal favorites, anyone in particular you are rooting for, no matter how likely or unlikely their chances are of winning.

For me I would feel safe putting my money on KO, Boss and Nuki’s team to win this.

For final 4 I predict most likely will see…
KO (Yun), Boss (Yang), Nuki (Chun)
Raoh (Chun), Spellmaster J (Ken), Mester (Yun)
Izu (Makoto), Chikyu (12), KSK (Alex)
AFM (Chun), Match (Akuma), Pierre (Urien)

Teams I’m personally cheering for and hope to see in the final 4 or top 8 are -

KTA (Makoto), Shonen (Urien), Kyosenshi (Q) - Tokushima
Cartman (Ken), Yamamoto (Hugo), Kaichoa (Alex) - Tokushima
178 (Dud), Deshiken (Ken), Ushi!? (Urien) - Kyushu
Georgia (Ryu), Fujiwara (Dud), Kuroda (Q) - Saitama/Tokyo
Messatsu Yarou (Urien), PinoAB7 (Necro), IBuki12 (Ibuki) - Tottori
BHC (Urien), Dot (Akuma), Mokomokofu (Ken) - Kyushu

i bet on the dark horse, RX/dirty / aruka

KO (Yun), Boss (Yang), Nuki (Chun)

  • Nuki doesn’t play 3s competitively as before. Boss is a fucking beast. KO hasn’t been placing high in tournies. I’m willing to bet that they won’t go all the way. Highest they’ll place is 2nd.

Raoh (Chun), Spellmaster J (Ken), Mester (Yun)

  • My pick to win it all.

Izu (Makoto), Chikyu (12), KSK (Alex)

  • 3rd place

i bet on izu/chikyuu/KSK.

also cheering for RX , J, Fujiwara, and team MOTO :stuck_out_tongue:

Man is this team really in SBO? If so I could see them taking at least 3rd.

My pick for first would be Team Nebraska. KSK can beat Yuns. Chiq beats alot of different peeps with Twelve and Izu knows how everyone plays to beat them. He won last year so he could win again.

Personally rootingfor Boss to whoop some ass with Yang because I believe in “Blue Yang”.

Japan “Tougeki SBO2” 3s Qualifier Results - As they happen

Like most people seem to be, I also am rooting for Izu, Chikyuu, and KSK. I’m a huge fan of Chikyuu, and who can resist a team without Ken, Yun, or Chun?

Here are my dark horses:

RX (Urien), Dirty “Music” (Oro), Aruku (Ibuki)

Another team without Chun, Yun, or Ken. These guys are wicked good, watch out for them.

Umezono (Chun), Matsuda (Yun), Washimi (Ken)

Definitely don’t overlook this team.

Sugiyama (Necro), Sawaguchi (Yun), YSB (Hugo)

IMO this team is rather hit-or-miss. And in a best of one team format, any one of these guys can roll over a team Izu-style. And Hugo is cool.

Sekido (Yang), H.H (Makoto), OJI (Yun)

The best team that hasn’t been mentioned yet IMO, Sekido is arguably better than Boss. OJI can be seen in other cooperation cup vids and H.H took out some good competition in the qualifiers.

Does anyone notice this team

Raoh (Chun), Spellmaster J (Ken), Mester (Yun)

that’s pretty buff

its team “i’ll sell my soul to satan to win”

Boss + KO = dream team:D

btw- are there any boss + ko qualifiers vids on goforbroke?

Why has nobody mentioned Nomoto’s team yet? The guy is quite arguably the best akuma now…Disk isn’t that great from what I’ve seen, granted, and I don’t know anything about Inoue, but anyone who’s seen Kyushu Taikai will know why I’m saying this.

-Josh

I think Inoue = INO?

I’d bet on Raoh (Chun), Spellmaster J (Ken), Mester (Yun).

yeah nomoto has a great akuma no doubt, but i’m not willing to stake my entire life savings on it.

BillyKane: Ah, thanks, now I know who that is. =)

DBA: Agreed, i think they can make top 8 but with only one elite player I wouldn’t go farther than that.

And now, here are my pointless and likely completely wrong top 8 predictions!

1st: Team Nebraska!

2nd: Aruka/Dirty Music/RX

3rd (do they do consolation battles for 3rd here? if not just consider the next two tied for 3rd): K.O/Boss/Nuki

3t/4th: 178/KFG/Ushi

5t: Raoh/Spellmaster J/Mester

5t: Sekido/H.H/OJI

5t: Sugiyama/Sawaguchi/YSB

5t: Hitotsume/Ayu/Erotic Teacher Okumoto

So I am predicting that the finals will basically say “fuck you, tiers”. Hey, this is like the NFL, gotta think outside the box…hell, who’da thunk we’d see K.O’s team lose to TK’s at the last Coop Cup (or Dirty Music’s team winning)?

And yes, the more i think about it the more I see Nomoto’s gang as just outside the top 8. Same for Match and Fujiwara’s teams.

-Josh

BOSS+KO is indeed buff. But since my life savings add up to a total of 100bucks, I’de go for team Izu,KSK Chikyu & team Red,S Tsumen.

But really, I still think Nuki, Boss and KO stand a good chance of winning. Of course people have been seeing through KO’s stuff lately, but that doesnt mean he and his team cant win top prize.(experience?)

I’de like to see Match’s team in the top 4 too, as well as RX’s team.

Raoh/Spellmaster J/Mester. THE best chun, top 3 ken, top 3 yun The only team that looks better on paper is Nebraska

How does Nebraska look good on paper? No top-tiers, an Alex, and a freaking TWELEVE.

That’s exactly the point…if a team looks too good to be true on paper, it probably is. This is NFL logic right here, and I think this is much the same way…GOTTA take some underdogs.

Look at last year’s SBO, who at the time would’ve thought ABC (the team with the Elena player) would’ve gotten in top 4, or that Izu would singlehandedly beat K.O’s and Beat Tribe’s teams?

-Josh

I’m not sure if anyone expected Izu to take 1st last year, but I do know after he beat down Mester, Chikyu, KSK and all the other Japanese players at N-Cubed, many Japanese people were worried about what he might do at SBO. He basically came out of nowhere…But I think a lot of Tokyo players have adapted to his style recently. When I was at Sportsland last year, Izu and J were both present and I watched them play several mirror matches (ma vs. ma). J was recking shop on Izu, and so were a lot of players I didn’t even recognize.

Who knows…thats the cool thing with SBO, its really anyones ball game, especially when its single-match. I wouldn’t count anyone out.

Who were Izu’s teamate last year? I never get to see them play, which character they used and are they in this year’s SBO?
