Movies was pretty baller, but beware, it’s almost three hours long.
This movie will tank except to the nerds
Says the poster on an internet forum board.
Fucking .
it made 3 mil on midnight showings! only 23 mil less than new moon
Man.
That shit was fucking beasty. I really can’t view it like I do other movies, because yeah the story was unoriginal and predictable at times, the dialog simply servicable, etc. But MAN…its seriously a whole new world, with its own ecosystem, animals, culture, geography, everything. It actually kinda sucked ass to walk outside the movie theater and realize “Shit. Back in this bitch again.”. Best movie ever? Its not even the best movie of the year. But its must-see movie of the year, thats for damn sure. And in Real-D, you motion sickness-ridden niggas.
Since the 70s, theres always been that sci-fi movie that comes out of nowhere and becomes a huge favorite. 70s had Star Wars, 80s had Back to the Future, 90s had the Matrix, and I think 00s has Avatar. It truly was an experience.
Man, I wish I saw it on IMAX
I believe message boards have become the norm in today’s socially active web. A few years back, this would have been true, but now, not so much. No reason to get all prissy when someone trashes a movie that does not appeal to the masses.
I just hope this movie is better than Dragonball Evolution.
Don’t have to hide your nerdiness AkumaTX, you’re among peers
This masterful deduction would have been an ambivalent comment on the status quote as could all be agreed on before the pogrom on good taste know as Twilight 2.
As it stands now, with the marketing success of The Dark Knight, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy,do you really think your tet a tet holds merit.
Just admit it was a failed troll, and your rapport was lacking, and your simply bitter.
sounds like how i feel about most video games
damn cool atmosphere, gameplay, original elements
if only there was a story
Movie got you thinking as you’re walking out. Whether it be all the messages it was trying to get across or all the technical aspects of it. It’s a great movie.
I’m interested in the fact that they’re way taller than the average human.
The story is unoriginal(but then again, what is?) and its been done before. Its executed very well, I cared about Jake and the Na’vi’s plight, and I think it worked overall.
The Dinobot?
Pretty dope movie. Probably worth the ticket price for the visuals alone (and I didn’t see it in Imax or 3d). The story could’ve been more complex and given the audience something to debate over but for what I think the movie was trying to be the story works well.
What an awesome as hell movie!!!
I haven’t seen a movie that you actually feel for a group in a long time
I still don’t like the way when some directors think it looks good when you violently shake the camera during certain action scenes, I swear that gives me a major headache trying to concentrate what’s going on in the scene.
during the shrek 4 trailer at my theater at the end some guy shouted out “THANK GOD IT’S THE LAST ONE FINALLY!”
also Clash of the Titans looks like it will be good, looks like the visual director for Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy 2. I enjoyed both those movies, will prolly like it
Predictable? Unoriginal? Hell no…
When you saw Dark Knight,Iron Man, or Spider Man did you say it was unoriginal, the super hero thing has been done to hell?
When you saw Titanic did you come out of the theater complaining it was too predictable because we all knew the boat would sink and tragedy would ensue?
There were so many variables in this movie that were exclusive and original, the same goes for the films mentioned above.
I think people are calling it predictable, because the movie goes in the direction that your heart would go, and you either believe in it, or you don’t and are bitter for whatever reason. Meaning, if you were in the main characters shoes, you would make all of the same decisions to a certain degree.
But seriously get outta here with the originality argument. I’m not surprised, for every 20 people that enjoy this movie there is always one or two people who just aren’t captured by the magic.
Also, to address the whole “only appeals to nerds” argument, I’m probably one of the least “nerdy” people on this board, I assure you. So don’t think this movie isn’t for you if you aren’t a comic book enthusiast or sci fi obsessive.
Just bought my Imax going to watch it 7:00 pm
good luck with the 7pm show. expect random RIOT over seats at least thats how it is around here. I plan on watching it monday. I do NOT mess with imax on the weekends but I also like that 100ft tall screen :looney:
