my imax ticket is for sunday. I’m still trying to figure out how to get there, get good seats, and get super blazed before the movie starts… hopefully it won’t be a madhouse because it sounds like this movie is getting off to a slow start box office wise
Good luck with the blazing, it’s like a 3 hr movie.
There were a few scenes that nearly made me nauseas totally sober.
But my theory on the initial slow start is due to the bad first trailer leaving a bad taste in peoples mouths.
This i the kind of film you need to see in it’s entirety,like a workprint without effects would kill this movie.
Unlike shitfests like Episode 1,2, and 3 the effects really helped the movie,the movie was not just a prop for shitty effects.

OMG…this movie fuggin pwned me. Make sure to see it in 3D. And should I feel guilty insidefor finding the female Na’vi lead kinda hawt? AND she’s taller than my 6’6 ass!
I can’t remember the last time CG worked so seemlessly into a movie. In one scene I ‘swore’ it had to be a rubber suit. Once I dig out the 20 inches or so of snow we are getting, I’m gong to go see it again. Best movei of the year hands down for me (Sorry Star Trek and Hangover)

Got back from a matinee showing. Very good movie, and of course, must see it in 3D. James Cameron does it again!
Just got back from my showing, saw it on a regular theater, no 3D. Fantastic movie, enjoyed every second of it. The CGI is just out of this world, I can’t wait to see this on BR,
The IMAX version of this movie owned so hard, I can’t really imagine seeing it in 2d 
Also, random side note, but the trailer for Alice In wonderland, when the Cheshire cat comes out at you in 3d, looks bad ass as hell 
Saw it last night at midnight in 3D, and I must say that it was a really well done movie. Definitely worth watching again, but nothing that blew me away story wise.
For some reason I kept on associating the movie with a Pocahontas like theme set in the future. Also, there weren’t any trailers for other movies.
Funny thing is, I went with several of my friends and they decided to make the movie
"really 3D" by smoking up minutes before the movie started. Fucking clowns:rofl:
Also, I got in a debate about this with my buddy, but where is the best place to sit in the thater for a 3D movie? Traditionally I go to the back for most movies, but my buddy said if you want the optimal viewing experience you should sit in the middle.

Saw this today. Most amazing movie I’ve ever seen visually and I damn near cried about 4 times. I think this will hit a soft spot for anyone that ever grew up wishing they were something else or could change something about themselves.
This movie was bad ass. I walked out the theater thinking if i died right now it would be ok. When they were doing the flying scenes, holy shit. And who wouldn’t want to tap one of those female species? I understand people hating on the story though, there was two or three cheese moments, it ain’t for everyone. But I mean, i thought the story for Matrix 2 and 3 was a straight up shit fest but a lot of people liked it.
