Its not that its not advised, its just that that specific combo in the video is incredibly hard to connect outside of the corner. Do whatever you want to make your combo connect though.

SWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG. Any combo with Revolver AND Sky Dance Beehive in it is an instant thumbs up in my book.
D
Dude, How did you get Ground Bounce 2 times? O_O

well, this is my combo, Sorry for the Taunts and the bad video quality -__-
Nini, do you mind providing the notations for the XF combos?

Skydance > Beehive is the answer to everything.
If you haven’t used a ground bounce, try Volcano xx Beehive and then Cold shower Stinger Air trick on the Ground Bounce. The opponent will bounce off the wall higher making it easier to land the hammer.
Does anybody use Dante with Unibeam assist? I can’t figure out a way to fit it in my bnb.
Why does sky dance seem to not always cause a hard knock down? A lot of the time they just fly away and get right up.
The last hit on it needs to wiff for the ground bounce to happen. To make it happen they should be a little bit above you when you use sky dance.
simply dante air throw combo with a taskmaster assist. Can be viable with dantes lvl 3 x factor.

That assist should be used as a zone TP type of thing. Sure you can combo with it but it’s most effective with airtrick mind games. If anything, comboing with repulsor blast would be better.
What combo should I be using off an air juggle? For example, if I hit an airborne opponent with jH and can continue with LMHS.
Honeslty that’s just it. Maybe start with M instead of L. I’m assuming you know what to do after S.
Expanding on this: midscreen after cold shower > stinger > teleport j.S in a combo you can actually do volcano-beehive > call Nova > volcano-beehive > volcano-beehive. The timing is kind of tight and it’s iffy on whether or not Nova will knock them away or beehive will keep them in (7 out of 10 nova won’t knock them away).
Also in the corner you can do starter > 623B > j.C > j.236B > j.C > 5C > 5S > j.C > 236A > 44 > 5S > 6C > Bold Cancel > j.236AA > call Nova > 623BB > 44 > 5S > 5CCCCC > 214A > Fireworks > Million Dollars.
Idk if you can go into gunshot loop, I don’t just because I suck at timing it. Off 5A the combo does 760k+, off j.C does 780k plus.
IIRC, Up shots dont connect properly after that (will have to test) but I know for a fact that it wont work after Killer Bee
Some stuff regarding volcano~beehive > stinger > bc volcano~beehive midscreen and near corner I found out. Dunno if everyones knows or not.
When you input 6C > BC > 623B you can reverse your inputs and it will connect. Midscreen you have to immediately cancel into beehive asap. Don’t know if it works on all characters. I did it to trish and storm.
Near the corner, far enough away that your inputs still get reversed you can do it and have volcano hit as well. With my team I do 623BB > 6C + Nova > 421BB > 6C > 623BB. Nova’s assist knocks them back into the corner.
You mean like this? If so yeah or atleast I know about it. I once did something close to it by mistake and then got to thinking about it, then I saw MarlinPie do it on his stream.
Also, new Acid Rain bnb does about 730k, isnt too spacing dependent and builds about 1.8 meters. Will post notations sometime later
Okay… so…
What would people say, if I said Damage was getting done all wrong in here?
I’m pretty sure, at this point, that Dante has two different combo paths. One is Meter, one is Damage.
Was just toying around in training mode. Can break 850k, without Charge Shot loops, with one meter, provided you have decent assists, off a sM. Just broke 900k, one meter, off a corner Hammer, with Dante/Sent/Strider. Without a charge shot loop. I imagine it would have been ~920kish, instead of 906, if I’d tossed one in; but really, the height-variable of transitioning from a Charge Shot loop into a wallbounce stinger seems so unreliable to me.
It’s not about the end of the combo. Dante scales down to 5%. Sometimes less(Like Beehives). It’s about the start of the combo.
I think I’m gonna start work on a tutorial-esque video, to Dante 2012, about the ways he needs to combo to get damage done. I also think his damage-combos are Viper-tier, in terms of execution. But, he has them.
I dont think it’s that we didnt/dont know, it’s just that in a game like this where meter is important (and then they nerfed meter gain), Dante works as a good battery. In your combo, do you have to start with one meter or does it build the necessary meter? And Im assuming no DHC right?
