Does anyone have a combo utilizing a Wesker Gun Shot OTG?

Gunshot can make comboing off an air-throw easy-peasy, or end a combo in grapple and use it for an unblockable. Other than that I don’t think it’s a very useful assist for Dante.

Hmm, I always ran Dante, Wesker, Strider.
I guess it’d probably make more sense to run Wesker first to benefit off of Crystal/Weasel Shot, more meters, and possibility to use Xfactored Jam Session loop.
I want to ask for combos with Wesker using Dante as an assist now, but I guess this suddenly forces me to ask in the Wesker threads >.>

Hey I would like some help. Yesterday I was at a weekly in my area and I played a zero/doom/pheonix team. I only won like twice out of maybe 12 games. My main team is Dante(jam),Trish(low voltage), Deadpool(katanarama) and for my secondary team I substitute Dante for Vergil. Also I have been learning x-23 which I use in place of Trish when I’m just messing around. Anyway, my question is what are some good anti-pheonix strategies with those characters?

I would have asked in some other thread for the other characters but Dante’s combo thread is the most popular of the characters so I figure anyone who uses any of my alt. characters could help if they see this. Thank you!

That seems like a bad team to have against Phoenix but you always have the general strategies (lame her out, snap her in, and figure out a way to make the opponent use XF before comes out). It’s not a reliable strategy but if you straight up body the opponent, you can kill her two partners before she comes in.

Finally got a functioning combo with Vergil(rising sun) assist, and its a TOD =o

j.:h:,:m:,:h:xxStinger( :f::h:)xxBCxxvolcano( :dp::m:), j.:h:, air play(j.:qcf::m:), killer bee(j.:qcf::l:), back dashxx:s:xx2 up shots( :h::h:), stinger, bcxxteleport(if necessary), hammer(j.:qcf::l::l:, call Vergil assist, volcanoxx :d::d::u::s:(jump canceled teleport), sky dance (should whiff), (immediate) acid rain( :qcf::l::l:), volcano, skydancexx million dollars on last shot DHC> Spiral swords (front teleport if necessary)> lunar phase x3

That alone does a million but with my team I build another bar thanks to Morrigan assist and OTG to slash dimension with Vergil for an extra 150K+.

EDIT: This combo can be done off of any random j. :s: or Hammer hit confirm into dead char. Hands down the most stylish/hilarious way to kill a Doom. The char…I think I broke it

Dante can use Vajra assist to skip having to do Prop Shredder alltogether, tremendously adding damage to his combos since Shredder scales it so bad.

I’ve been currently experimenting with:

how do i get the stinger teleport -> hammer/j.S/etc. (after cold shower) to put me behind the opponent each time? sometimes it puts me right in front of the opponent, and other times Dante ends up not even close to the opponent after the teleport.

EDIT: VIdeo, but dude forgoes the second Volcano for some reason. Probably just an execution mistake. Does a lot more damage with 2 Volcanobeehives.

THANK YOU!!! Seriously, I’ve been practicing on the default Wolverine dummy and I was wondering why I could only get the S to connect like 1 in every 20 tries, now it’s consistent. I was wondering why everyone seemed to have trouble with bold cancels yet I had never see anyone mention that part of the combo before. Why does noone mention the air dash there? haha

I tried to learn Dante in Vanilla but the double motions killed my chances there, now picking him up to replace Doom on my Zero team.

NO! The air dash is not to help the combo. As the video’s name says, that’s a bnb from Vanilla that just still works in Ultimate. The way to get sS to connect is to delay the FIRST jH before the airplay as well as the second. This is one of the things that makes Dante a bit hard (but not impossible) to use online.

Hmm so it’s not advisable to air dash after the air play then? I see your video with a Vanilla BnB and after you said that, I managed to get it a couple of times in a row by delaying the j.H, but air dash is working as well, maybe it’s just making me delay the j.H naturally.

At least I know what I was doing wrong now, thanks, I guess I will keep practicing haha.
