So I figure some people here might have characters in front of Dante that have generally low damage output like myself, so I’m posting a combo I invented specifically for whenever my low damage character hits a combo with assists fresh and Dante is behind.

Notation: Anything around 4-5 hits > TAC up or side > backdash 236L S~HH S~HH S~HH 6H 2BoldC 2S jS 623M 623M Million Dollars

Sidenote; it’s a miracle I hit this combo, unfortunately I fucked up the finisher because it was so rare. My execution is currently balls, and I can’t do the loop even somewhat consistently. It was also a miracle this finished in the corner, because I would have missed the teleport.

Should do about 950k with DHC.

That combo is 1 freakin bar only, but i was disappointed to see that the 7th acid rain only added like 3 dmg to the total :stuck_out_tongue:

edit: strange stuff, just did the same combo with 8 reps for total damage of 975! So i guess i probably misscalculated on the loop count ^^

This combo requires being in the corner, however it does push a fair bit forward so it’s lenient. Other downsides are that it costs 2 meters and only gains just under a single bar. However, it’s not extremely hard execution wise, it doesn’t require any acid rain loops.

Would love to see if anyone can improve on it, I’m not great at optimising damage. Just a nice option if you struggle with Acid Rain loops like myself.

Hmm, it seems to only do 850k now. Maybe I accidentally left Devil Trigger activated at the start of the combo. Still, very good damage, plus I’ve been doing it on Arthur so there shouldn’t be any issues with character size.

In Isedelica’s combo([media=youtube]aQcoJDpEhn4&feature=related[/media]) would you go about getting a consistent number of reps with the shot loop? Do I have to wait until the opponent is close to the ground before doing each rep?

A pretty practical combo, which gains you half a bar, can be done midscreen, doesn’t involve Acid Rain looping, and does about 720k damage.

Again, Acid loop combos do much more damage but this is an alternative if you find Acid Loops hard.

Has anyone been able to get anything going with double/TK Volcano launches?

Most characters just get knocked way too high, but I was thinking that there might be a nice way to tack on some extra damage to Sent and the other fat characters from a random j.:s: or Hammer. So far I’ve only been able to get: j.:s:, :dp::m: :dp::uf::m:xxj.:m::s: on Sent before he either gets knocked too high or tech’s. And I’ve only been able to connect that a couple times, and when he’s in the corner at that…

I’ve been trying to find the right assist that would either hold, or knock them back down low enough to combo, but haven’t really had much luck. For such a cool trick it seems like there should be more there than just chip damage against people who don’t Advanced Guard.

Nobody’s posted on here about trag’s DHC glitch with Dante have they? He can initiate the glitch with Hysteric xx grapple xx Devil Trigger (or no-hit Million Dollars if you’re already activated) and you DHC someone in for a full combo continuation with no damage scaling and minimal hitstun scaling. If you have Amaterasu, Wolverine, Sentinel, Thor, Arthur, Phoenix, Viewtiful Joe, Taskmaster, or a few other characters on your team, this is an easy touch-of-death on any character, including Sentinel. That is, if anyone can figure out how to combo into Hysteric grapple. I haven’t had a chance to test whether you can just do it off a Killer Bee ground bounce or Stinger/standing :h:

I’m probably overstating the power of the glitch a bit in that last paragraph but it makes 2 meter 100% combos entirely too easy. Also, you’re not really wasting that meter to power up Dante because he comes back with Devil Trigger so that sweetens the deal.

You can do it with a Bold Cancel+Stinger wall bounce, Magus was doing it in the Iplaywinner streams. Check the first post of the Dante Tournament Player thread.

Oh and Dante can combo after his lvl 3, not only against Tron. I was practicing against Dante as the dummy and you could do lvl 3, dash, Cold Shower xx Prop Shredder blah blah.

It’s really hard timing though.

th closer to the ground the easier it is to land the next set of shots. For the amount reps that you’ll ideally want are from 3-4. Although, work your way up from 2 to 3, and then once your comfortable with the timing go for 4. That’ll maximize the damage of the loop, and allow for you to land close to 800K with 4 reps(and over 850K or so with a DHC). You can always land it if you teleport after the wall bounce stinger. The closer you are to the corner will mean that the teleport is not needed(but you can still add it in).

I also recommend learning the acid rain loop as well. Both have their uses(with the Shot loop having DHC reset, and corner setups, while the acid rain loops provide raw damage output, and easier usage against characters like sentinel).

So basically in a sense, Anytime we bold cancel hit confirm it should be followed with a Volcano because of the ability to jump cancel that as well?

Also, I noticed that the Hammer gives a lot of frame advantage on block but what can we do after a successful hit if we do connect with it? Looks like it gives a soft knockdown. It’s almost as if people should get hit with it because it looks like it leads to no resets or anything. I’d take that hit then eating a full Dante BNB alllll day.

Hammer xx Volcano to pick up off the ground for a full combo, so in a sense you will eat a full BnB.

Does anyone have the exact notation of the BnB Acid Rain loop?

hitstun detrioration causes them to air recover after propshredder the most i do is 3HHH, stinger bold cancel teleport,jS, volcano beehive x2. What bnb you guys use?
