Personally, I think they don’t get used because even though he has em and can use them they aren’t all that useful in my opinion. The Fireworks after Revolver/Reverb Shock on whiff is good for making them safe though.

So I am having a bit of trouble comboing into AA shots in the corner. I do the regular combo with airplay etc, then launch and do AA shots, but the AA shot misses the opponent, as they are too high in the air.

I can do it easily mid screen, but in the corner the shots pass underneath them. Anyone able to offer any advice?

Wouldn’t it be easier to just go into Acid rain after the prop shredder?

Don’t know if I can post this here, but I’ve been messing around for a while with my team, and I found some cool stuff starting with Dante and DHCing with Trish.

First is a 1mil combo starting from grapple and 1 bar. There’s slight variations to it depending on positioning which I will list.

Nini’s Grapple Combo
Grapple>2M>5H>5S>Charge Shot>Prop Shredder>Acid Rain>The Hammer > Assist(optional, but useful for meter gain and slight damage boost purposes) >Volcano>Beehive>Jet Stream>Fireworks>Jackpot> DHC into Round Harvest(Trish)> Tag Dante back in> Air Trick > Sky Dance>

Variation 1-1: This is the normal most common and most favourable course of events. The Sky Dance will crossup and whiff the last hit, leaving the opponent in the corner. From here, you can go into Wild Stomp>Stinger>Bold Cancel>The Hammer or J.S>Volcano> Beehive>Jackpot, or if you have an OTG assist, instead of going for Volcano>Beehive, you can OTG> Jet Stream> Fireworks for more damage and meter.

Variation 1-2: This happens more rarely, but in short, the Sky Dance doesn’t cross up and the last hit connects and leaves them in the corner. Only thing you can do here is Reverb Shock>Fireworks>Jackpot.

Variation 2-1: This happens rarely too but the Sky Dance crosses up but leaves them out of the corner, so Wild Stomp> Stinger will not wall bounce because of hitstun decay. You can either go for Reverb Shock> Fireworks, OTG Assist> Jet Stream>Fireworks or Volcano>Beehive, all ending with a super

Variation 2-2: The worst. Fortunately it rarely happens, unless you did a really late teleport. The Sky Dance doesn’t cross up and leaves them out of the corner, so you cannot follow up, unless you had more than one meter when the combo started.

Second is my basic BnB utilizing Trish round harvest to extend the combo once again.

You can’t use wild stomp>Stinger anymore though. I tried everything to be able to continue after the stinger but to no avail. Even wild stomp> stinger BC> Jam Session/Reverb shock did not work :frowning:

I realize that buffering the dash is only truly necessary at midscreen, but it also helps make the timing much more consistent, even in the corner, where you have to delay after the Air Play or after the final J.H in order to make sure they fall enough for the wild stomp to connect unless you air dash after the air play.

good shit. i just tried this and all of this is legit. i may even switch my team order just to access the second bnb more.

EDIT: i just realised i won’t be switching my team order because wesker there for dhc glitch shit lol. but this good shit anyway. and the damge is akin to dhc glitch but just just require some more effort.

I only just recently started trying to learn Dante semi-seriously, and after Volcano, jc MMH (orjust H to test different things) into QCF+M, I am having a hell of a time getting an air H to hit before I land. Ive looked through some of the threads but didnt see anything about it. Any advice on this? My execution isnt amazing, but I’d like to do better stuff than day 1 combos, especially since I feel like my Dante game otherwise is already feeling pretty strong. Thanks!

To quote a famous meme, you’re doing it wrong. You posted “Volcano jc jMMH QCFM”, but the alternate combo you posted is the one you should be doing, just “Volcano jc jH QCFM jH”. The jH will work, unless it’s sentinel; then you use “Volcano jc jMH QCFM jH”

I recently crafted a nice TOD meterless start combo that I’ll be using from now on. It requires corner and two assists that either hold the opponent in place for a bit or cause soft/hard knockdown (in my case, Ammy Cold Star, Akuma Tatsu, or Haggar Lariat).

1.158 Million Damage Meterless Start Corner Combo:

M H 6H 623M jc j.M j.236M j.H H 3HHH~S 236L236L(x N) S jc j.S P1 623M jc j.S 3HHH~6H S+L j.S P2 3HHH j.S 623M623M 6H S+L 214H~H 623XX

Damage will vary slightly based on assist, but the Fireworks at the end will always get you the third bar of meter with the assists listed. I still need to see how others work out, but in general it should work out with most of them. Even then the combo gets 726K meterless and just shy of 900K with a level 1. The damage and meter numbers are based on two reps of the Acid Rain juggle since that is the average number I can get before I drop it on the average character.

Viable Assists: Chun Li Legs, Akuma Tatsu, Ammy Cold Star, Haggar Lariat, Tron Gustaff (only if done first with 2 or fewer Acid Rains), Magneto Hyper Grav, Dormammu Dark Hole, Sentinel Sentinel Force (Only after Wallbounce into 3HHH, possibly Crystal), Zero Shippuga

Double Volcano Viable: Chun Li Legs, Akuma Tatsu, Ammy Cold Star

Actually, the j.H will work on Sentinel, but your timings between the 623M, j.H, and j.236M all have to be tight.

After a while you just kinda figure it out, besides the fact that there are multiple names for his multiple moves doesn’t help. For example, Cold Shower and Wild Stomp being the same thing.

why do people even call it wild stomp? i don’t remember dante having such a move in dmc3 or 4, so maybe it’s something from earlier iterations? or did people just coin that term like that retarded kfc nonsense?
