The only One I met was frieda, and he said more japanese played Mag/wolve/dante, well that was Vanilla I have to ask frieda if he still uses Zero and what not.

Aside from what he’s done with the JP guide, I haven’t heard from Frieda since Evo. Zero/Dante is definitely the Japan duo though, those guys were everywhere in those Japanese tournaments and the online team sets

If it was easier/more practical to combo off of Akumas assist, or if tatsu had more usage in aiding Zero or Dantes zoning game, i’d definitely be rocking Zero/Dante/Akuma, Akuma is such a beast anchor.

Settling for Arthur for now, Dagger assist is too good and XF3 Arthur is amazing

Yeah what i do is I do the Loop set up ( we need a name for Corner Dive XX buster Lightning like… Chidori Ima start calling Dive XX buster Lightning Chidori LOL…)
So After Chidori If you do Rekkhoha then DHC to whatever ( you have to time it right so Zero hits the ground first ) you basically do like Dr Doom Super that goes up or… What I do is after chidori is level Genmu Zero ( which is mostly for show but it kills usually lol )

I had no idea that you could utilize DHC’ing after the Dive buster cancel. I’m gonna definately hit the lab with this.
(Also, I like the name Chidori. Just look at my avatar lol.)

Has anyone come across this before or can figure out why it happens and how to stop it from happening? Thanks!

After practicing it non-stop for the past few days, I’ve been wondering about the practicality of the Lightning Loop. Seems worth it to go for like… always, unless you need to DHC Zero out. People honestly believe it’s impractical and not worth the risk (what risk, right?) but I’m not seeing this at all

This shouldn’t affect it actually. I’ve done S as early as possible and as late as possible in the combo and it works.

@ifcowscouldfly: It’s likely you are too slow with inputs somewhere in the combo. Keep in mind hitstun also runs on a timer, do everything reasonably quickly and it should work. I’m not a fan of the magic series loop combo though. It’s not very versatile considering it only works off an M/c.M starter at the earliest (no jump-ins). Maybe worth it to go for if you land a random shippuga, otherwise just launch or Ryuenjin into buster

Er… what? You realise it starts from anything right? if you start from cr.L you simply omit the second set of L,M,H hence still being his basic combo. Pretty much every combo posted starts from anything and if it doesn’t, you just drop a lightning and replace it with L Air Dash where applicable.

UMVC3 Zero changes UPDATED DECEMBER PATCH

My current team is Zero/Vergil/Dante. I’m going to list the main combos I do with this team unless I improv something. I’d record them all but I don’t have a capture device anymore. Anyway: All these combos are done without jump-ins or anything so they probably do more damage if you do a j.:s: then go into it or whatever. Corner to corner carry with 2 assists available: cr. st.:h: :f::h: st.:s: j. j. j.:h: j.:s: :a1: (Vergil-Y) neutral jump j.:qcf::h: dash up st.:s: j. j. j.:h…

I’m surprised I’m not seeing it more from players who aren’t building their team around Zero since alisasxn posted that on here like day 2 of UMvC3.

^ if you’re going to pop X-Factor, why not do Rekkoha XF, :s:, sj:m: xx :l: Raikousen, j. lv3 Buster, :l: Raikousen, TK Sentsuizan, Rekkoha (if you have to).
Only time I can think of where Genmu would be better is if picked up the assists in the combo too. Or if time on XF is precious you want the quick kill into mixup for incoming characters.

This is kinda finnicky to be honest. A lot of times, the last dive doesn’t hard knockdown. It’s happened to me a bunch of times when i was trying to swag. Most of the time though, Rekkoha XF>stuff>L Lightning>Ryuenjin is enough to kill.

Basic setup is:
OTG H Dive xx lv3.Buster, .j:dp:+:l:, land, (Sougenmu) :qcb:+:atk::atk:, j.lv3 Buster, j.:dp:+:l:, land, :dp::uf:+:l:, land, :dp::uf:+:l:,land, j.lv3 Buster, j.:dp:+:l:, land, :dp::uf:+:l:, land, :dp::uf:+:l:,land, j.lv3 Buster, j.:dp:+:l:, land, EITHER :dp:+:h: (Ryuenjin) OR :qcf::uf:+:m: if you started with an OTG. Or just Sougenmu again and go for a 2nd Raikousen Loop.

When do you start charging the buster after the first buster shot?

You charge as soon as you’ve fired, the whole idea of charging Buster/ retaining charge is that you start charging as soon as you can. It’s only really in the loop where timing is a bit more strict so make sure once you fire you’re charging with H or M or whatever button it is that you’re not using.

Hmm never had a problem with it myself, but I feel like an idiot for never considering Ryuenjin x_x
