all here
You can extend with Cold Star, just call it in right before you launch the opponent again and then hit S and send him down into Cold Star. He’ll get stuck then qcf+M usually will catch and hard knock down and then you can do what ya want.
generally cold star ender combos are weaker than the usual BnB with other enders. If you do a regular BnB, the hitstun decay will not allow cold star to combo properly.
shoutouts to all zero players in dubai, including me who didnt attend U_U
Wow I guess nobody responded to this.
Anyway, there are a few things that can go wrong with the jam session ender.
-
If HSD is too high sentsuizan->buster won’t combo in the first place. Probably not what you’re asking about but it can become an issue with double assist extensions after lenghty confirms.
-
You have to call jam session immediately after your L raikousen, but delay your launcher. You want to have the opponent get hit by jam session very early after your launcher, so that they don’t flip out before the jam session hits and also to make sure that they aren’t too high for the following.
-
You need to hit them with the raikousen either during or immediately after jam session hits. This is much easier to set up if you make sure that they’re lower when they get hit by jam session.
-
For M raikousen, you should start parallel to them or slightly above them if you want to get the buster->L raikousen afterwards. If you’re just going for buster->sentsuizan then you can start a little higher and still be fine. For H raikousen, you should be startign below them for the buster->L raikousen followup, and once again buster->sentsuizan can be done higher. Which one you use is your choice, the damage difference is negligible and as long as you’re doing the first 3 steps correctly neither is more difficult than the other.
Hope that helps.
i find h is more consistent, i was dropping m the other day. gonna upload the set later
Thanks for the compliment, but my zero was not good in that tournament.
Yes Hatim began streaming in Dubai. Shoutouts to the UK community though. My performance in that tournament was not good, alot of the matches were sloppy because of laggy monitors. My opponent had the same issue as well, but it was fun overall.
Other way round for me, I get too many inconsistencies going for H with respect to releasing Buster at the perfect height. Going for M means I never overshoot the height (and never miss it either).
Same thing either way, with H you have to wait for the proper height to release the buster, with M you have to make sure you’re at the correct height for it to connect, my M rakousen always seems to whiff.
yeah i whiff M all day, especially on the shorter characters. H is just free
I mention this a few months back
Zero air throw no assists 0 meter start. Does around ~915K

Also here is some more Strider\Zero hard tag combos

Enjoy
Make sure you air dash back after a forward air throw, I didn’t play the team much but when I fooled around with it I had the best results when I called Cold Star when I was actually out of range for M Sentsuizan to connect and had to use the heavy version. If you call Cold Star and immediately do the dive, you need something to bridge the gap between the first two hits of Cold Star. I used L Ryuenjin for this (5 frame startup, you land in time to continue the combo off of Cold Star) after that I don’t think it would be possible to do the H Lightning Buster cancel relaunch, because the time in which they fall really adds to the HSD buildup. I might go and try to figure something out though.
Cold Star used to be one of the best combo extensions in Vanilla, but now that it got murdered by HSD it just isn’t. You already have Missiles, and you also happen to be playing Zero, it really isn’t necessary to have combo extensions at all to be very honest.
For Zeros corner B&B which sentsuizan is more reliable and why? For some reason I always miss-time the L lightning after M sentsuizan to relaunch. Is the timing less strict with H sentsuizan?
Also, I just picked up Zero two weeks ago, when is a good time to start learning Lightning Loops? Some say crawl before you walk, how long should I wait?
Never seen the need to do anything other than H, so long as you understand how Zero’s combos are affected by HSD you wont have a problem using H.
Learn LLs… whenever you’re bored.
I use heavy, more damage, more hitstun, better angle, I believe i’ve read it causes a bit more HSD but whatever, not a huge deal with Zero.
Learning LLoops is uhm…I don’t think theres a certain amount of time you need to wait, some people have been playing Zero since Vanilla and still cant/wont LLoop, some people pick him up in a month and start learning. It certainly makes playing Zero far more enjoyable when you can start offing people from throws/buster confirms. Its up to you and how you feel your execution is, my execution is pretty decent but I always let the stigma of LLoop being too hard to pull off stop me from trying to learn it, its actually fairly simple, the timing isn’t very tight, and its only height/spacing dependent on a few characters.
Personally, I started learning it once I had a full corner carry and my corner buster relaunches down 100%, but i’d attempt to at least get a feel for it so you can just start getting used to using it in casual sessions.
Thanks for the fast reply, you guys are quick lol. But yeah, i just started messing around with it a little, I just need to get the timing down. How much damage can you squeeze out of this team? Zero/Nova/Sentinel Nova Centorian Rush assist & Sentinel Drones. So far i can get 760k in the corner with 1 meter which according with Zeros standards, that’s pretty bad )-: That’s with using Nova assist after relaunching after the 2nd sentsuisan. I’d call Nova immediately after launching and I’d immediately press air S and Nova will catch my opponent and ground bounce them, then i’d come down with Sentsuisan for the hard knockdown into Rekoha. that’s all I’ve got so far. Is there a way I can utilize Drones and Novas Centorian Rush assist in a single corner combo to maximize damage?
^ Not sure how the HSD works in your combos but you can do OTG Dive xx Buster, L Lightning, call drones as soon as you land, pause, S, sj.S, H Dive (when you come down with the dive a drone should pick them up, allowing you to jump back and Buster xx Lightning, TK M Sentsuizan for the knockdown.
It worked! thanks!
