Just to say I Love zero Combo Videos, But any of mid screen >__< Thats where I have trouble, Without an assist its nothing great… I want something SPECTACULAR
theres really nothing spectacular midscreen, unless you count jump loops…
unrelated: just a tiny variation… throwback to vanilla.
By the way good set Masablades. Feel alittle bit more comfortable w/ the vergil matchup. I’m so scared of vergil lol.
Whelp. I’m finally giving up on using pad. Because I literally cannot do half of the pretty sparkley zero combos I want to. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s the pad, whatever, I can’t do this anymore, I feel like I’m making this character more difficult by using pad. XD
</3
But the best Zero player is a pad player =O
That’s great for them, and that’s really cool but, I’m going to try something different because that’s what I feel is best for me right now.
Who is the best zero? I’m curious.
Mihe?
Probably
i know its been talked about for a while now but i have 2 questions about the lighting loop.
1)when im executing the lighting loop the 2nd TK lighting whiffs often idk why i cant seem to figure out the timing =[
2) how are ya getting the buster fully charged after the 2nd TK? i hold down L after the buster cancel into lighting and switch charge buttons during the animation and by the 2nd tk its still green i was trying the 2nd tk H method but i was dropping my charge in doing so
I think i can answer both of your questions in one shot. Basically during the LL you can hear both raikousens hitting the opponent. You want to do you second tiger knee after the hear the second lighting from your clone hits but while you are waiting for it to hit you want to be buffing the tiger knee motion so after you hear the second lighting you can press L and get a instantaneous TK raikousen. Also by waiting for the second lighting to hit you also give your self more time to charge the buster so after the second TK raikousen let the second raikousen from the zero clone hit then jump and fire the buster. This might seem kind of vague but try it in training and you should be able to see where i am going.
Also make sure the initial buster that starts the LL does not hit with both your buster and the buster from the clone. This ruins the LL timing and makes it difficult to recover from. Aim for only one buster hitting.
thanks a lot. i know what you mean other people where telling me to slow down my inputs after the first tk raikousen but now you gave me a visual to look out for to learn the timing. i was kicking my self because i am able to execute mr classics lighting x factor loops consistently but having trouble with this regular LL loop. i am aware of the one buster hit which is also why i stopped doing the H verison because its too hard to avoid the clone buster from hitting
NP just make sure you don’t delay the lightning too much. Notice i said to buffer the motion while waiting for the second lighting to hit so you can instantly get it out once you visually confirm the second lightning hit. The reason you let the second lighting his is because the clones lightning ( raikousen) bounces the opponent higher for subsequent tiger knees.
Easily fixed just by going for the H modifier with normal timing btw. It’s not the H Lightning that’s causing trouble, if you can land an H raikousen after 2 buster, 2 L lightning then you’re just doing it far too slowly Casone.
ehh??? whats this. A week and nothing broken discovered.
Me. Hey!
i see what you meant im getting the hang of it now thanks.
im hearing this often but i play on ps3/ps2 pad so to switch between triggers and land a tk a H is just to high of a chance of me dropping the charge or not getting the tk H out in time so i rather save my self the headache just stick with the formal way of doing it. A example of this is meep from MD i he is also a pad player and does the H verison and i havent seen complete the loop yet. but thanks for the advice tho i appreciate it
I’ve been doing the SIMPLEST OF COMBOS, and I still can’t get the Vergil Whip to land on the second Rep
:l: [Charging], , :h:, :f:+:h:, :s:, j.
, j.
, j.:h:, j.:s:, Land, :qcf:+:h:xx BUSTERxx :srk:+:l:, :d:+:h:, :s:, j.

, j.:h:, j.:s:, Land, :qcf:+:h:xxBUSTERxx:srk:+:l:, Call Vergil, :s:, j.:s:
It ALWAYS Drops before I can land the j.:s:, WHYY.
Also, There’s No way to add in a Cross-up Hawkeye Triple arrow assist before the combo without hitstun ruining it…
i had the same issue too for a while. i’m guessing it’s hitstun det kicking in. just cut out the lightning, cr.H after the first dive+buster OTG and just do dive+buster -> L teleport, S and it should work.
I’m convinced that it has to do with the vertical height you hit your stand S at in relation to Vergil assist. Due to the startup on Zero j.S as well as the arc of his sword, if you hit the j.S and it hits them at the beginnng of his swing it should combo, but towards the end of his swing is where HSD from the standing S kicks in. So when you do a stand S to launch, the earlier you do it the greater height they are at in relation to Zero. If they’re above you, the j.S’s earliest active frames will make contact and you’ll be able to ignore HSD. If they’re below you, which is what happens on a late s.S, the j.S is active but doesn’t connect until the lower half of the swing arc, which is the amount of time it takes for HSD to kick in after Vergil assist hits.
In short, do the S as soon as you hit the ground from the lightning, or do a Dive Buster L.Hienkyaku instead to forgo damage but more consistently hit them with a high s.S.
I do the same combo. Omit the c.H after the first Raikouzen and you should be fine.
