Ass loads of practice. In vanilla I used to do jump loop like a piece of piss. It’s so tight in ultimate sometimes i’d like to throw my stick at the screen. I’m only now getting to the point where i’m confident to do it every time, and even so It’s character specific timing messes you up when you’re playing against someone unfamiliar. If my buster is charged I often go to Ryunjin Cancel instead because I find it so much more consistent.
What is Zero’s go to combo when teamed with Vergil/Hawkeye for you guys? From mid screen and in the corner.
In the corner I’m doing s.H, f.H, S, sj MMHS, j.qcf+H x level 3 buster, qcb+L, s.H, s.S, sj MMHS, j.qcf+H x level 3 buster, L lightning, vergil assist, S, j.S, vergil assist hits, J.S, land, qcf + 2 atk
Hope this notation understandable for everyone. I actually don’t know how to use the graphic notation. Basically, this combo does over 700k, but I know I can get more. In the corner, do you guys always go for the 1 million damage combo with Zero/Vergil, with this, or something else?
And what should I do from mid screen off of s.H? Thanks guys. I’m dedicated to getting good with this character.
I have a lot of trouble linking OTG Sentsuizan xx L Raikousen, any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

Anyway, what I normally do is repeat the Lvl. 3 Buster–>Lightning twice, but on the second one I just press S after I launch them so it would be like
(after air combo) j.QCF H -->Lv. 3 Buster, Lightning, S, j.S, QCF H and try for a reset. Or I do the Sogenmu/Swords DHC and try the loop. I haven’t gotten the lightning loop 100% down yet but from what a few people have been saying, it’s always good to try it because there’s pretty much no downside to dropping it.
You need a buster between those, it doesnt work otherwise.

Is this combo character specific or really tight timing because I have a lot of difficulty connecting it on some characters, easily get on others and downright impossible for some.
I use Doom or Hawkeye to help carry from corner to corner. Then I do a combo like this:

Nothing new or groundbreaking, but for my team composition it’s the right combination of consistency and damage.
Ahh, sorry I meant to say OTG Sentsuizan H xx Lvl 3 Buster xx Raikousen L. That’s what I’m having trouble linking together.
Well first off it’s not a link.
Secondly, the main rule is you let go of Buster AS SOON AS OTG Sentsuizan connects, and then as soon as you release, do L Raikousen. You don’t wait for anything, hell you don’t wait to see if you hit with buster and then attempt to hit-confirm, it’s not vanilla Zero anymore.
Thirdly, If you’re trying it on floaty characters i.e. Iron Man, Magneto, Storm, Doctor Strange then you HAVE to wait till they stop bouncing before you can OTG H Sentsuizan, otherwise L Raikousen will whiff.
And finally…It doesn’t work on Ammy.
Note: Goes without saying it only works in the corner.

Oh yeah the Raikousen bit’s a link but don’t think too much of it, it is just a matter of doing it too slowly tbh or somehow muddling your directions.
But yeah stick to it and you should get it in no time.
Well its not such a big deal vs Ammy, since you can kill her in a regular combo without using lv3 buster into rakiousen anyways.
Also, vs mag, IM, strange and storm, you can alternatively otg them with a ver low :h: dive and they will get juggled by the lightning regardless but…yeah is kinda hard.
Against floaty, just jump back H Dive. Pretty much times it perfectly with the end of the bounce. And yeah the issue against Ammy isn’t really an issue half a relaunch + whatever combo extender into hyper always kills her.

2-. You can actually get another relaunch in there, after the 2nd j.S hardknock down, do: otg :h: dive lv3 buster :l: raikousen, call vergil :s: sj:s: (vergil hits) sj:s:, otg :h: dive lv3 buster :l: raikousen xx loop. It neats you 1Mil without using the last Rekkouha.
PD: we should get a name for otg :h: dive xx buster > raikousen, its too long to write lol. how about just Lightning ender?
Agree. In vanilla I always instinctively went into Shippuga loop off every hit confirm like a braindead idiot. Felt like my play was too predictable, boring, and redundant.
Despite the fact I’m still really bad in actual matches against other players, I feel I’m a better player overall because of Zero’s changes in Ultimate as well.
With that said: I’ve been trying to figure out a way to end lightning loop with a knockdown into Rekkoha (just because…lol) without Vajra. Looking at Tsumuji’s video made me think of doing a variation of his Vajra ender with Dante…Instead of doing Ryuenjin after the last Raikousen, I could just call Dante > S > TK Sentsuizan > Rekkoha, or Dante > Vanilla Steb ender lite?
DUNNO if hit stun deterioration would be too much at that point and I’m pretty sure someone has already thought of it (I’m not very creative). I will try testing it later tonight, but if someone has tried it, could you tell me if it works? Thanks!

depends on the height, if you have lv3 buster charged, just do j.H j.S xx buster :l: cmd dash and you’re set.
