and about the video title… tbh I didnt have anything in my mind… so I just called it viewtiful.
I know its kinda a misleading title… but anyways.
You’ll want to cancel into Raikousen right after you release the lvl. 3 buster. As far as timing is concerned, I think the biggest thing to remember when learning the LL is to leave a brief pause after the first Raikousen before you begin the TK Raikousens. It’ll save you a lot of headaches down the road.
I charge the buster with H, but it’s all personal preference.
I came to this thread to make the exact same post, about the same video and combo. You see the combo again around 8:30. It looks like he moves forward a little, or maybe it’s a dash, then does sM.
I can get the lightning loop, but not this. Anybody know the secret?
Edit: OK I’ve got it, you have to quickly dash after Buster Release to link the 5M. Seems pretty tight. I think ill stick to jump loop for my corner carry although this is something that’s good to have in your back pocket i’d say.
For me shippuga loop getting nerfed was the best thing that ever happened. It forced me to explore the character in ways which i never did before making me a better player because of it.

I´ll Try to explain, whats exactly I do… Watch carefully for the imputs, and you´ll se that´s a trick performing on the left side of the screem…
start - Basic set up… you can do combo with two assists, with the Doom/Dante ender… be creative. That´s what you should use when you´re in a not good postion… such as no xfactor, 1-2 bars, no assists… You can extend to build more meter I know, but it´s not the point here.
0.07 - 0.08 - after set up and soungemnu I jump and release buster… I don´t think it can be seen, but just after the screen animation of sougenmu, if you do exactly as I done, you will see the opponent bouncing a little… (sometimes an extra hit will pop up on screen… such as… screen freezes showing 16 hits, after sougenmu animation it will change to 17), at this moment I jump and release buster.
0.09 - Just the first Raikousen
0.10 - Look! after the first Raikousen, look at the imput! just a tiger knee motion, instead a TK SRK. That´s the trick I talked about earlier… when I do the first raikosen, I keep holding forward… If you watch very carefully (I don´t know if it will help… If I have better equipament it would be noticed easier) and you will see zero giving a step before the second raikousen. It´s great because this way he would be very near the corner, so the second raikousen will hit with the “lightning tail” (watch, and you´ll probably see what i call lightning tail, the very ending of the lightning animation). I believe zero stop sooner if the tragectory of raikousen is shorter.
0.11 - watch the imputs again, if you timed the second raikosen right, you can just jump straight and raikousen… noticed the last imputs are, diagonal down forward, forward + L, instead of diagonal up forward + L… I forget to tell, that the second raikousen is very near the ground, an instant tk raikousen.
0.13 - For myself, Lightning loop is a combo that has 2 sets of 3 raikousens, watch and see that I do exactly the same pattern I´ve done in first set… buster, Raikousen, instant tk raikousen, jump straight up raikousen, buster, raikousen - and you can with another LL Loop, SRK or Dive + Rekkoha.
I hope this help… and I explain it right. Feel free to ask (i´m not a guru, just a ordinary player). I feel It´s a great challenge tho master this combo (I´m far from it).
for those of you guys who are doing the modifed raikosen loop with H raikosen, at what height do you guys release the buster so you hit with both buster shots

Right now, it does about 820 damage - around 950+ if I DHC into Doom’s Sphere Flame. I feel like I can get more out of it. I tried doing some stuff with Raikousen in the air during hidden missiles, but they always end up dropping out.
Nini that j.2H combo extender is going to help a lot after a random buster confirm. I was struggling to get decent damage off this setup in the and thought i’d have to settle with a abbreviated combo. Much thanks.
I was wondering if I could get some help with this.
I am currently using Wesker’s Samurai Edge assist in order to extend my midscreen combos with Zero. Currently I am doing: Regular BnB, call wesker, jump, x2 J.MxxBusterxxRaikosen, s.S, x2 j.M, H, S.
My problem is that sometimes the H or the S at the end would wiff. I’m pretty sure it’s because of hit stun.
I would like to know if there is a variation to this combo. That does more damage or doesn’t cause anything to wiff at the end
I actually used to do that combo but I also got wiffs. I completely forgot about it. I never thought of using the s.H though. I’m going to hit the lab and mess with it.
