It's All or Nothing! - Chris Redfield Combo Thread

It’s an immediate j,s and then air magnum. j.h > j,s doesn’t allow you enough time to get a magnum out (you land just as the bullet is about to come out). Yeah, the blind spot on the vertical arrows and both Taskmaster and Hawkeye’s horizontal arrows are tough to use as well. I mean, solo Chris can deal about 750K, so you can get a little more if you add in some arrows while a flamethrower is connecting but I can’t seem to find a way to land big damage with this team a.k,a break 1 million, or come close.

Not bad man. It isn’t a ToD though since that refers to killing any character (I believe) but it was nice nonetheless. My escapade to find a combo for you with Chris/Spencer/Doom has lead me to find something really interesting with Chris. I ended up replacing Molecular Shield with Dante’s Jam Session and starting messing around with a combo for Chris/Dante/Spencer and found something never done before with Chris. Not that ground breaking but it’s a concept I’ve been trying to implement in a combo for ages but I’ve now found a way to use it and it pays off well.

Let’s just say it involves killing any character in the game while only starting with a bar and only spending half.

I’ll try to have it up this weekend.

Yeah, I’m having a hard time coming up with something really productive and practical with that team as well. Virtical arrows: Great for cover, terrible for combos.

The other members are Iron Fist (Rising Fang) and Hulk (AA Gamma Charge)

I think it can be done with Rising Fang.

Update: You can do it rather easily with the standard relaunch combo in the corner and then simply call Iron Fist and do cr.h xx medium grenade xx grenade launcher. Just remember to delay the grenade launcher since they have to fall low enough and you have to let the medium grenade be out long enough to explode on time.

You have come to the right man. There are several methods for landing the grenade super and Rising Fang works for every single one of them.

Your options are many:
By far the most common thing you will do with was vsDenjin described above.
-(From a knockdown) call assist, cr.M canceled into medium grenade, delay, grenade super. The timing isn’t that strict, get the delay down and you’ll be golden. If you rush it, you may get his level 3, which would be a colossal bummer. Rushing may also lead to sweep combo, also a bummer.

-Simpler, but much less advantageous is call assist - grenade super. The first shot will hit OTG, rising fang will wallbounce, the rest will connect. Since the upward grenade hits second instead of last, it scores a hard knockdown so you can still follow up. Useful for happy birthday situations.

-Super complicated swag option: Launch while simultaneously calling assist, hit S immediately to spike them into Iron Fist for the wallbounce, then spike them again to the ground, m grenade, super. The timing is tight, but it’s a low hitstun decay option if you have a big followup.

-THC. If you’re using landmine or machine gun assists for Chris, and still have a wallbounce, Iron Rage is a perfect compliment for the grenade launcher. Good for happy birthdays and a sure way to do a ton of damage if you’re trying to end the match with as little risk as possible.

This sucks. Guess I’ll try to somehow optimize that combo Denjin gave me to at least make it work mid screen. Or use poison assist for that +90k unscaled damage…

okay so i’ve been learning to use more grenades within combos to get that good damage and i think i might know what you’re talking about @vsDenjin with that Chris/Dante/Spencer team. Can’t wait to see what you might have this weekend if I don’t upload anything.

Hey man. I have some good news and some bad news for you…

Good first. then bad

Good news is I found a combo for your team that does drum roll for added suspense 1.12 million damage and actually builds a little bar. You can also spend another bar (if you started with one) and deal 1.28 million damage, killing every character in the game, without having to DHC out, allowing you to keep playing Chris on point.

Bad news is the combo is insane and I’m close to deeming it as impractical at this point due to a glitch I found where basically, under certain circumstances, the game won’t allow you to press S in the air until your opponent flips out of the combo. Add that on top of the fact that it requires some heavy execution and muscle memory and well… yeah.

I have a watered down version that does 1 million even but loses a smidge of bar in the process. it’s still a little trick to pull off. How good is your execution would you say? The assist used were Horizontal Arrows for Taskmaster and Scatter Shot for Hawkeye with the team order being Chris/Taskmaster/Hawkeye. I plan on uploading the combo this weekend as well as some other ones with other teams.

Meh, don’t sweat it. I went to the edge of reality and back to try to put the combo together, although it probably won’t look like it when I post it up. Funny thing is I realized the combo would be extremely difficult to nail down and use in a real match so it became more for me to finish it than it was for ShadowCloud to use, haha.

Lol its cool. Ill make it work somehow! How impractical is it though? Corner to corner specific / certain height / or is it just that glitch you mentioned? And I used to main viper before coming to Chris so I guess my execution is kinda high level. Box loops, burn kick loops, and seismo fadc.

You can do it from mid screen since it starts with the double combination punches, there’s just a specific spacing for it. I don’t think the combo can be done in lag but offline I think it’s definitely doable, it’ll just take a lot of practice. If you’ve played Viper then I’m certain you can handle this combo but it won’t be a walk in the park though. The good thing about it is that the two assists are pretty good and make sense. Also, the bug basically just makes the combo a little more tight on the execution side. I haven’t quite figured out why the bug occurs but I have a pretty good idea on how to get around it and I’ll explain it all this weekend. I wish I could record from my dorm but unforunately I can’t hold a camera and controller at the same time, haha, so I have to wait until I go home for the weekend to get somehow to be the camera man.

Don’t worry man, I can wait for your video this weekend in in no rush. Just glad that I can finally hit a million without a dhc. Along with using my favorite characters

Well you’ll get a good 120K over a million now. I’m really glad you got to keep your team though. I was kind of bummed out when I thought the team had no combo synergy because I thought you’d have to switch from the characters you want to play. Also, Chris’ assist has to be Gun Fire but that’s probably the best assist for the team anyway. Everything worked out, haha.

it;s aggravating getting a special that’s not sweep combo to come out after crH. ugh I feel like I can definitely come up with more stuff but I drop everything.

When/how exactly am I supposed to land air SMG for relaunches?? fucking srk errors.
