But if you pushblock the energy javelin don’t you open yourself up to guard break set-ups? Definitely sounds like your ass is gonna get airthrown long before you’ve air dashed out of that corner.

Delay the super jump, then then time the j.L after HRP L late as well. You might switch sides but it’ll still work on most characters.<div><br></div><div>Zansam, Jak: Guard breaks are a problem. Push-blocking the javelin does give you time to air dash out, but it also gives me time to react and throw a second javelin, which will hit the air dash.</div>

Got a nifty little XF1 combo here that kills anyone and builds almost two bars, only spending one.<div><br></div><div>(XF1) ADD j.L, s.MH xx Centurion Rush H TK cancel Energy Javelin, neutral jump MMH, land, S, super jump MMHS, land, Nova Slam, call Cold Star, c.M s.H xx Centurion Rush M, Centurion Rush H xx Super Nova</div><div><br></div><div>Pretty happy about the meter gain more than anything. Works on anyone as far as I can tell.</div>

Sounds godlike O_O

Yes!<div>A killing combo</div>

Can you confirm that off a ADD j.L ground-magic series into x-factor?

Yeah, I actually tried that last night. Not 100% sure if it kills. But you can do something like ADD j.L s.MH XFC s.MH into the rest. You just don’t want to exceed 5-6 hits before the Cent Rush H or HSD will let them block it.

So I have a question, been watching quite a few nova’s while trying to learn the character and I notice barely anyone goes for his h unfly h combos, instead settling for his basic l m h s flight combo which does significantly less damage(about 100k less if I’m not mistaken), makes me wonder if this character actually has good practical damage. Just trying to get a feel for the character I’m getting involved with, will I have to start researching resets, because his damage doesn’t seem that good(unless your running slant shot).

a lot of people usually don’t use the unfly h loop unless theyre sure that they can hit it midscreen. i can usually tell if i’ll be able to hit it depending on how my hit-confirm is set up.<div><br></div><div>if i really just want to keep it simple i’ll just always go for the basic bnb.</div><div><br></div><div>i honestly have never worried about damage because i usually run nova/task (which is huge damage) or nova/doom and a majority of the time after extensions i’m either looking at 980 to a mil or a TAC kill (doom of course).</div><div><br></div><div>if you’re running the nova/doom/sent team that you mentioned before then i wouldn’t even be worried about practical damage lol, you have a tac monster if you feel that you’re running short on damage, and all of nova’s resets are actually pretty good provided that you have the right assists. </div><div><br></div><div>as long as you end the combo with L human rocket punch into Nova Force you should get the max damage sphere flame/an easier dhc into plasma storm.</div>

It’s hard to confirm into the H loops off of c.M midscreen and impossible off of a throw. I know they’re possible after ADD j.L if you do s.MH to confirm (even easier with just s.H) but I tend to only do them in the corner.

you can confirm a unfly h loop off a s.h as the s.h moves you forward

Ok, so they aren’t exactly practical, good to know. @-limit-:Not a big fan of TAC’s, although I’m beginning to think ill have to learn them one way or another.

To be honest, I disagree. I do them midscreen all the time lol. Once you make sure to super jump up FORWARD after S, you’re usually fine. Your observation posted earlier is definitely accurate though. I won’t lie, I do the basic combos sometimes if I spend forever tryna get that hit and I just wanna the damn kill and I run Nova Task Spencer so…dead bodies everywhere lmao.

yeah. after enough practice you will either be able to see when you’ll be able to get the unfly loops or you’ll just be able to do them consistently enough that it shouldn’t even matter.<div><br></div><div>jumping up-forward is definitely the key part to it though.</div><div><br></div><div>and if you have doom in the second slot learning TACs is a must, at least in my opinion. You’re selling yourself short if you have a TAC monster like him and don’t learn at least something basic (although as the months go by even the stuff we were wowed by in the fall has become basic now lol)</div>

I still haven’t arsed myself to learn the infinite. Took me a good few months to get the easy swag down and now all my friends are pressuring me to learn harder stuff… >:(

Yea ill probably learn them eventually, for all 3 of my characters, might as well, no point playing a character and not playing them to their full potential. But that’s going to be down the line for me, its really not a priority yet, plus without access to a console, not really practical.<div><br></div><div>Gave the team a test run today, it worked well, although the dude I was playing wasn’t the best at marvel. Still though, definitely see the potential, gonna have to just bite the bullet and start running him against everyone so I get the hang of using him. His normals are really good, if a lil situational, what with his st jab whiffing on almost every ducking character and cr m looking mad unsafe.</div><div><br></div><div>Hopefully he ends up being the point character I’ve been looking for.</div>

since i usually run nova on anchor i was curious to see what the most i could get out of x-factor level 3 was (WITHOUT INFINITES) and came up with this…

corner only x-factor level 3 activated - j.H, H, qcb.S (fly,) j.H, qcb.S w/H (unfly glitch,) H, dp.L, H, dp.L, H, S, j.H, j.qcb.L, j.H, land, j.H, j.qcb.L, j.H, land, j.H, j.qcb.L, j.H

does 1.3 mil plus for no meter with more than half of x-factor level 3 remaining.

EDIT

full damage is 1,344,500
