Honestly, I probably will if I can get a feel for it. The whole Nova + 1 coverage assist + 1 lockdown assist (or in the case of Sen/Strange an assist that does both) is a fantastic template. I run the same concept in Nova/Frank/RR but having a non-Frank team is a good idea. Also helps that Task/Ammy are good characters overall and full Nova Force into up arrows is an excellent DHC.

Sottle, since I see you’re playing missiles (and I’m going to as well, picked nova as my missiles-mag partner), upon seeing moon’s vid (siiiick, moons!!), the part where he does energy javelin to bounce after cold star, might that be doable with missiles somehow? I’m at work so can’t test, but if missiles are available, something like launch+doom, sjHS (assuming that’s all we can get and have missiles otg), javelin relaunch? Dunno, may neither be enough time nor be worth it. But it got me thinkin.

I spent a little lab time with Nova and missiles in the past and it’s kind of hard to get significant extension but I shall give it another try

You can do the midscreen fly unfly when you land, H+missles, S, j.H, j.S. missles coming down javelin missiles picking up S xx TK M rush. Problem is missles OD on the hitstun so after that all you really get is H rush into super.

Yeah, you can do it. It does less damage than the combo i posted earlier though. It has given me an idea for a combo which i will test tomorrow though.

Couple of cool looking extensions, but nothing that beats the 791 i had before.

I am here to tell you today I am broken and I have found a way to do TWO reps of fly unfly and STILL get Spencer assist to connect for the crumple. Video coming soon once I get it down consistently and I can tell how much more damage it will give =). Shout outs to Mo0Ns for the idea sparked by his last video.

  2. The combo I have here does LESS than my optimized Taskmaster hardtag combo where I get to do shield xx arrows linked to shield xx stinger off the Nova assist for 1,152,300
    BUT it’s still…it’s cute to look at lol.

hey moons, any trick to hitting that H, L-rocket punch after a second fly/unfly loop? does the second fly/unfly loop just have to be low to the ground?

other way around actually…it has to be done higher which is actually good because with the first rep, you have to time and space out the H’s so you can come down but with the second loop, you can do it and remain in the air because you need to jump up to to the H xx L Nova Strike and then since it’s a normal jump, you can press H with an assist on the way down. That’s how I was able to do that Nova combo I posted.

Any tips on how to crumple -> energy javilin -> hard tag spencer into launcher? My launcher always whiffs, and sometimes I don’t get the ground bounce.

It’s CRAZY that you ask this because I was practicing it like 2 days ago…you needa do javelin and give it a bit of a delay and then tag Spencer.

So I’ve been running Nova/Dorm/Doom, and after seeing that ridiculously sexy centurion arts stuff from Curleh Mustache (JESUS CHRIST MOONS WHAT ARE YOU DOING), I’ve been trying to work it into my team… It works, but only if I’m not in the corner. If I am in the corner, the dark hole is too far offscreen to connect. Does anyone know if it’s possible to make that hit somehow? Or crossup mid-combo without much loss of damage? Also, would it work with Frank’s shopping cart assist (my other team is Nova/Frank/Doom)?

Hmm…have you seen any of my videos yet? Maybe you can get some ideas there…and what doom assist?

I’m honestly still figuring that out. I’ve been using missiles, but I have no idea which is actually better for my team - Dorm seems to be ambivalent (given the latest FChamp tech) and I have no clue what Nova likes better. With the frank team I think I’ll probably stick with missiles for the snapshots. I did not know you could get the crumple off of Frank assist, I’ll have to experiment with that. :slight_smile: Learning from your vids already, thanks!

Oh, also, I’m trying to get the unfly j.C loops midscreen (S j.C fly j.C unfly j.C S) and the opponent is almost always too far away after the first or second j.C. What do I need to change?

When you do it, you need to be close upon initial contact. What I have noticed kind of makes a difference is doing stand MHS because it seems like the M brings you a little closer. To be 100% honest, I haven’t had the spacing/timing problem midscreen for months so I can’t be COMPLETELY sure.

The single biggest thing of the H loop combo is how close you are on your first jH, the rest of the combo is cake. The goal should be to get as close as possible without actually touching their hurtbox (if the hurtboxes touch, I generally find that I drop the combo). If that sounds weird, go into training mode, and make note of how close you are on the first jH when you do the loops, once you find that ‘sweet spot’, you should be hitting all your H loops. It also helps to do the combo off sH, rather than cH, because unless you’re hitting a deep cH, they tend to be farther away after you launch them.

I’ve used both Dorm and Doom as some point in a team with Nova and with both you have an extension for both mid-screen and corner. For midscreen, you can do (Combo to) fH+Hole, M Rush, H Rush, Super.

For the corner with Doom, I do (Combo to) fH, Missiles, M Rush, S, Javelin, M Rush, H Rush, Super.

The corner combo probably sounds strange, but it looks like this: after the Nova Slam, one of the hidden missiles (on the way up) will connect with the opponent to keep them in hitstun long enough for the M Rush (and its forced ground bounce) to connect, you launch them ASAP, and throw a Javelin which hits on the way up, then the remaining missiles hit, followed by the Javelin coming down, in which you then need to hit them with another M rush before they hit the ground, then H rush into super. It looks cool as hell, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work on the entire cast (not everyone gets picked up by the missiles in the corner)

That missiles combo is really bizarre. I switched to Beam for a while in training mode and you can get the standard rocket punch->m Rush -> H Rush -> super like that… I’ll keep trying that, though.
