If that’s the case, doing L rush works too if I’m right.

Recently played around with Nova in the lab. Decided to see what he could do with Repulsor and if he could do it anywhere on screen. Successful on both ends.

Basically your standard starter into any combo you want. Fly/Unfly :h:'s or basic fly combo. I’ll write out the fly/unfly since it gets the most damage.

j :h:, :m:, :h:, :s:, j:h:, fly, j:h:, unfly, j:h:, land, :s:, j:h:, j:s:, call Repulsor and do :l: Centurion Rush, (if you’re in the corner I find it easier to hop up and do j:h:, j:s: but when you’re mid screen, it seems easier to eyeball it and just do j:s:), then :l: Centurion Rush xx Gravimetric Blaster, wait a bit for them to get into range and DHC into Proton Cannon.

Sound’s pretty cool. I may mess around with this for my new Nova video. I already have combos with Dorm, Thor, Task, Spencer, and Vergil (that’s it for now)

If you’re looking for stuff like that, play around with Kl’rt’s Stone Smite assist. Doing the same combo and having it end in Stone Smite, :l: Rush, :m: Rush, whatever ender is crazy looking anywhere on the screen.

With Skrull’s Stone Smite assist, you can do H loops, 6H+Skrull Assist, dash (timing purposes), M Cent Rush, H Cent Rush, Super.

Looks cool, and will always carry to the corner.

Has anyone here found a reliable fake TAC reset? I saw infrit use one at last weeks runback, here is the link.
http://www.twitch.tv/leveluplive/b/338739087 it happens at 2:16:10. It looks like the inputs are Launch, L, wait for air recovery, HxFly, L, M, HxL rocket punch, M, H, S. Does anyone have anything else? It seems like its readable since it starts with the air L. Nova would always go for an air H in this spot, so I think an observant opponent could just see the air recovery and do nothing. Any thoughts from the Nova force?

This is actually very similar to a reset I showed in my last NTmS video. It was pretty well placed because he did a series with M’s and L’s prior to that combo so that’s most likely why Fanatiq fell for it. It should also be able to be done with MM instead of just L which will make up for how predictable it might look. Also, It’s not TOO BAD of an option to use L because I’m sure infrit OS with a grab so if Fanatiq blocked he most likely woulda got grabbed.

I’ve been using that for months, ever since i saw Champ doing the Mags one, the good thing about it is you can confirm the block if it doesn’t work and still get good pressure, go for a throw, unfly etc. I quite often call missiles along with the relaunch so i’m guaranteed to keep control even if they do block.

What sequence are you using? M,M wait HxFly, or are you using something else?

There’s 2 pretty amazing TAC resets that I go for.

One is after the launch, hit j.L immediately, then go into j.H, fly, j.M, j.H, L rocketpunch, ADD, j.H, j.S etc.

The other is after a long combo with any extension at the end, you can do a TAC that will intentionally whiff due to hitstun. If they were mashing S, it’s a free airthrow. Which means its a dead character with various Nova teams.

I use L, H. I don’t think anyone’s reacting quick enough to the L to stop mashing S, and even if they do you’ve got the option to go Airthrow instead.

The key to making these good is having a team that’s terrifying if you’re allowed free reign over TACs, Frank or Doom being the first two that come to mind. Luckily, i have both :slight_smile:

Nova newbie, trying to come up with a list of combo “types” I need to have muscle memory for:
After hit confirm into launch:
Easy mode when I’m not confident (fly j.lmhs) and hard when I am (j.H fly j.H unfly j.H relaunch)
Above combos when Spencer is and is not available.
If Spencer extension into crumple, learn to finish with Nova (dash back, OTG rocket punch into grav blaster) or energy javalin + tag in Spencer and continue to reset scaling combo (corner)

After throw:
If thrown Into corner (in corner), dash down j.H (to catch ground bounce)
Continue from f.H (if the j.H misses)
Out of corner using rocket punch

Air to air pickup

What else do you guys think is necessary, combo-wise? I’m ignoring TAC infinites or red-life specific combos until I get the basic stuff down.

EDIT - watching some Yipes videos, he tends to just go for simple j.MMHS combos midscreen when he could go for a MMH fly MHS type of combo. I understand when the assist hits you get worried about hitstun deterioration or something, but he only ever did fancy stuff in the corner.

SICCKKK stuff… Drakenguard opened my eyes to a lot of tech too. I been tryna find ways to implement his stuff with mine also.

Make sure you know which options work on which characters! Plus you need level 2 pulse for a lot of them to work
