Subjective. Depends on how you play, who you play. I recieved very little hate mail on XBL going back to Vanilla even. Compliment mail outweighs hate mail for me 5 to 1 easily.
I don’t think that I have had hate mail in the last 5 months because all what I play is SSF4 on XBL. I used to play shooters such as Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Shadowrun and so on. About once a day I would get hate mail for being a “camper” and stuff like that. I do recognize that on Xbox, all the hate mail just means that you are doing good.
It really depends on what games you play if your playing Mvc2 or SSF4 watch out for ragequitters and people complaining about how “cheap” you are. As a matter of fact i just got suspended from live and i know it was some punk ragequitter sending me endless msgs of how i was cheating by using magneto.
You can’t be suspended from live for doing that. :lol: Don’t make up bogus rumors.
I believe you typically get an email explaining any suspensions: check your email.

yeah i was just mad, but you know what they could’ve at least sent a warning before suspending like psn does with home. Your cable must make a lot of people RQ.
I like Xbox Live a lot. But since they recently upped the price it makes it less worth it to subscribe again. Granted, I know there are deals around, but that’s money I’d rather save especially with my tight budget. So I’ll be switching back to PSN in a few months after my membership expires.
LIVE is definitely better, but then again you can’t complain as PSN is free
Ive had a ps3 for years now and the playstation has aways been my main console. But i have to say in the very short while i have been on live (about 2 weeks) i can tell how much better it is i dont think it is quite worth what they charge but hey it aint breaking the bank yet.
And i would certainly say that xbl is way worse then psn for ragequits and hatemail. I got hatemail on my first match of halo 3 and i mean my very first match (never played halo before) all because i killed a guy with the sword thingy whats that about.
i just made the switch from PSN to xbl and i have to say the online difference is very noticeable. the lag is wayyy less noticeable on XBL. MVC3 is almost coming out and i had to make the switch after being so sick and tired of PSN lag and bad connections.

Yes and in my opinion Xbox has better Live gameplay, When playing Modern warfare at my friend’s house (he has a PS3) we usually get booted out of the game 2 out of 10, while I can play 20 Team deathmatches and only dc once.
I think the horse is dead, everyone almost agrees its worth it (including me). Any ways here’s my take on it, PSN is free so people use it because its free. XBL you have to pay (less than $5/month, just don’t buy Starbucks for 1 day). But ince they’re paying, people feel more obligated to want to play more to get their money’s worth. Hence (my 1 theory any ways) why more people on XBL.
Also XBL gives you monthly deals for some “on demand” games or DLC, sometimes 50% off or more. It saved me a few bucks sometimes on things I was going to download any ways.

The main problem with Xbox Live is the type of people who play on Xbox Live.
Definitely worth it. Its pretty stable and it always seems more people i know are on xbox(but that could just be here).
Buy it yearly, its not that expensive.
Its deff worth it. Like a few people have alrady said, you can find really cheap deals online (if you know where to look)
If you get Xbox Live, be sure to buy the membership card at a retail store. I had an incident awhile back where some random player was able to get my billing information and say it aloud to the other players. When I contacted Xbox support, all they said was to block communications with players you had a bad experience with. I had to falsify my info and change my name.
As long as you buy membership from the store, you won’t need to give Microsoft your billing info, and then people won’t be able to gain access to your name, address, phone number and more importantly your credit card number.
I didn’t even think it was a question. Like many, I have both xbox360 and ps3 but I only play online with the 360. It has an infinitely better interface, better competition, higher population and tons of little things that you wouldn’t even suspect. You get what you pay for and there is a reason for it not being free. Also, 60$ isn’t expensive!
