Call me dumb but I have a little spark of faith in this game. SFIV eolved from op chars (vanilla) to almost perfectly balaced (Super) to being almost 2 chars only (fei and yun AE) to something I like a lot todaya and will not call balanced to not ruin this thread but its a very good fighting game to play and watch at high level.
I think SFXT will do the same. Lets give it a try guys 8but Crapcom DONT sell us more pieces of the game)
It will take time. As history has shown us, all capcom fighting games take time. Today you all may hate the game but one day you’ll see the game played on stream and wonder wow that was a pretty fancy combo there and you’ll be interested in the game. It’s like trying to get the attention of a girl you like. You just have to show her the right things. I think if more self motivated people began to make content vids people would play this more. I say most of this stuff should pick up around july 31st.

You know I’ve been mulling over this for a while now. I’m not quite sure I understand why people hate on the game so much. It can’t be the balance issues because people still love Marvel, which from a balance standpoint is a broken down piece of shit that makes MUGEN look like AE 2012. Broken Zero hitboxes and lightning loops, Morrigan gaining meter in Astral Vision, Dormamu having bullshit dark matter unblockable crossups and normal hitboxes that hit 360 degrees around him, Vergil having stupid swords that nullify everything, Doom being able to pick you up after 5 minutes of being hard knockdowned and having a bullshit assist. TAC in general. X-factor level 3 Wesker, Vergil, Phoenix, etc etc etc. The game is trash on paper.Yet myself and thousands of others still love it. Why?
Is it because the game (SFxT) looks and somewhat plays like SF that we’re more inclined it should be more like SF? I don’t know. I still like SFxT but I too find myself not appreciating it as much as I should. Funny thing is, its probably my best game right now even though I don’t play it as often. Maybe its the fact that its pretty easy to play with its ABC Launcher sequences? Maybe its because there’s no Snoop Dogg?
Or maybe its that its not a sequel? SFIV, MvC3, KOF13, Mortal Kombat (9), Soul Calibur V. These are all established franchises. SFxT is essentially something brand new morphing SF and Tekken together. Then again Tekken 6 and BlazBlue dropped off but TTT2 and Persona4 are already gaining traction.
Another reason I think the game is suffering is because there is 0 comeback factor. This means there can be no frauds. No bullshit random comebacks with X-factors, ultras, neomax combos, or X-ray attacks. If you suck and you’re losing, you’re screwed and that’s it. There is no benefit to losing unlike SFIV and UMvC3 which give you some sort of equalizer for losing. If Pandora was buffed and made so suddenly people were coming back with pixels and winning, I think everyone would love the game yet the players themselves would bitch about how broken Pandora is.
One thing that definitely needs to change is the game should NOT Be played in a 2v2 setting. Needs to be 1 on 1. Already it looks like a party game with 4 people on stage at once. 2v2 doesn’t up the hype for me and I don’t think it helped things at EVO either.
I wish people like you would get the fuck out and let us play with our garbage. Stop coming back here.

Just wanted to say to everybody that made it through Rolento, Cammy and Raven’s LP, WELL DONE! We’re all apart of history, and come 2022, we’ll reminisce about how Street Fighter X Tekken was hated on initially, but now everybody loves it!
As for this game moving forward: You damn right it is. Even with such obvious haters, it continues to grow, and everyday on SRK/XBL I see people putting real work into it. As they say HATERS GONNA HATE.

Pretty sure they did reduce SFxT to top 4. And I hate to agree, but I agree. There’s something about it that isn’t as “hype” as others. I still attribute it to no scrub factor or ultras. But hey if you don’t want to watch it, watch something else or walk out of the ballroom. As funny as Dive Kick is I get bored after 5 matches so I don’t watch that but I don’t bitch. Its a hilarious game and incredibly…creative? hahha.
And now I’m more determined to make sure it gets played wherever I go. 
Our is the keyword here. They are our tournaments, not only yours. If you got a problem yeah come here and tell us. If someone comes to “your” tournament and brings sfxt by all means kick them out or tell them in their face their game sucks.
It’s this kinda attitude that ruins the fgc as a whole.

Just like the idiot who tells you after a ragequit how fuking trash you are, these guys probably quit the game somewhere back in march but still hop into this board to tell players with better understanding of the game that it´s beyond redemption. Seems like good arguments are overrated in these “discussions”.
Since these guys behave like ragequitters, I´ll just treat them like one: Don´t answer to them directly, don´t even TRY to have an argument with them, let their salt flow and should they ever come back, stomp their face to drive them away again.
The real question is: Do the posts of these guys qualify for the “What players message you after you [the game in this case] beat them” thread?
Even then, I don’t understand why someone would want to do that. If I’m running an event and people want to play that game, whether as a side game or a main game, let it rock. Maybe you don’t make it a “main event”, but why in the living fuck would I tell anyone who’s willing to attend “oh you’re playing that game? Get the fuck outta’ here I don’t want your money!”
If some dudes come through and want to get their TMNT Tournament Fighters on, I may not put it up on the big screen for whatever reason (though seeing as it’s one of my favoite FGs ever I probably would lmao) but… what the hell am I going to be mad for? And hey, if there’s time between two other games or at the end, put it up as a bonus or something.
Hell, you might find yourself surprised by what you see.

if I had a tournament and somehow enough guys to play SFxT showed up I’d give them one setup way over in the corner and no stream time. if I want to get people into the FGC I will put my best foot (or feet) forward, which would be UMvC3 and SF4, and I would take every measure possible to avoid destroying my tournament’s momentum by putting SFxT on any main display
nice psychology there guy, keep it up. I gave the game a month before I quit. pretty much anybody around here who is good at FGs has quit as well, and left SFxT to the scrubs… you are probably getting an overinflated opinion of yourself because anybody worth their salt went back to SF4 after they realized SFxT is a smoking wreck. the real sad part is that the good players could jump back into SFxT and go straight back to bodying you with maybe two matches adjustment because you probably still suck at fighting games
its worth noting there is no official SFxT tournament at Canada Cup. it’ll be lucky to get a side game spot. if I’m a “full game rage quitter” all the rage was due to Capcom shoveling out an absolutely terrible game at that vulnerable moment when I was super pissed off at UMvC3 for being crazy broken, failing to realize that is all you can expect from Marvel and you gotta learn to love it. there is nothing to love in SFxT that isn’t done way better in other games
Okay, then one last question: Why are you still here? We enjoy this game, you don´t, you made your point. Whats the point in telling us about what would happen if you would run tournaments and streams?

Nah man that makes perfect sense. It’s your show and you want people to watch what you put together, most major streams barely show the game. I personally like the game and i usually just keep to myself and play. I don’t need to get into a shit fit about the game, i’m just doing me. If anyone is interested i let them play and give them a little 101. The two games mentioned are popular for sure. And i’m sure you want to avoid the masses saying said tourney sucks because they show sfxt instead of marvel. If anything you’d put the most unpopular game first on stream first and keep the hypest one for last which would usually be marvel.
This goes back to the whole ‘hype factor of sfxt’. I think it really does come down to the player base and them creating a persona for the game. I think it just lacks one because of the mixture of the two brands and also the bad press.
I guess ricky,pr rog,combofiend,mike ross,justin wong,floe,wolfkrone,infiltration,laugh, jibbo,ryan hunter, tatsu and andyOCR must be playing this game for the lulz then.
Wait, just to clarify, you didn’t know they were playing it for fun? As everybody could clearly see Infiltration didn’t care about it with his setups, footsies, combos and presence of mind. 
Just to note, he won SF4 and X Tekken, can I do the same?
