You all really look like you’re trying to defend this game too much. I genuinely thought entrants were low, guess I was wrong.
Still.
Street Fighter x Tekken - “Nobody watched it” Edition.
No hype. No Viewers. No interest. No EVO 2013. You can go on about “Free T-Shirts” but KOF had arguably the best finals coupled with the 2nd most viewers of the show. That speaks louder than anything.
Doesn’t matter if it’s good or not, the game is half dead. Deadlwithit.exebatgif
Well there were no viewers because it was not streamed, and Combofiend getting double perfected and TokidoxFuudo’s 1 hit kill cross assault was mad hype. But your just a bored troll so whatever.
The SFxT entrants were not low, but apparently a lot of people just didn’t turn up to their matches. At this point SFxT is becoming a victim of a FGC hate crime, everyone is gonna hate it but not remember why.
And the “not interested in the game” trolls still coming around huh? And I finally saw that cross assault that was fuckin great. Mike Ross and Combofiend’s cross assault wasn’t that bad either, and that comeback they made was hype as well lol. More hype moments than ppl give the top 4 credit for.
You remember Skull Girls…you know the game most heralded as the savoir of the FGC, that was going to stop the evil Crapcom, and everyone was going to convert. The game by the community for the community.
Well the “defense force” is to blame for that because we allowed players like Ross, Combo, etc. to make it to top 4. But this is also Wizard’s fault because he made it 2v2 which killed things.
I’m almost certain these worldwide Capcom Sfxt tournies and updates to the game will spark the interest of many of these FGC fanboys :).
Until then me and the rest of the SFxt heads will keep grinding it out. Also u dont gotta like the game but as long as ur respectful we’re cool bro.
But if u say something based on narrow mindedness, followed by disrespect…we gon verbally smack u back to FGD
You can spot a troll by their desire to enter a game’s dedicated forum only to insult it and flame people into arguments under the guise of “innocent criticism”
“Why are you guys so defensive about your shitty, worthless, horrible game? I’m only stating my opinion about your shitty, worthless, horrible game. If I insult your shitty, worthless, horrible game you should just sit there and smile. You guys should really just accept that you play a shitty, worthless, horrible game and play FGC SAVIOR GAME instead. It’s just my opinion, though.” <----- TROLL POST
I don’t like Smash but I’ve not once been into, or even considered going onto a Smash board and telling them their game is shit. See the difference? Your post was equivalent to me going into a KOF thread and saying ‘lol KOF needs t-shirts’. No one cares you don’t like SFxT or think it’s dead.
I also don’t understand the idea of “let it die” or “deal with it” or any number of things that equate to “so-and-so don’t like/play it, so stop playing it and talking as if it’s good.”
If I did that I would have never played KOF years ago, nor gotten my friends into it (at the time), nor met the group of friends and fellow KOF players I had.
After reading the entire thread (as well as others here) I just cant get what is so important about the so called “hype thing”. Are we talking about the game itself or not? We should give a shit if it is ‘hype’ or not, the game itself is what matters the most for people who plays/wants to play it! AE still has a huge amount of crap in its gameplay no matter how ‘hype’ or ‘tournament viable’ it is by now, and this is what annoys me as player. I know some will crucify me for this, but IMHO AE is one of the most overrated and boring shit ever made by humankind, and the bad habits it gives to people is one of main reasons of hate on newer games. And this will continue for some years…
I decided to give xT a try these last months and found gameplay itself pretty decent and fun. Yet, some glitches, auto block gems and PC online mode (dont know about the consoles) are really crap, but every game has its problems. Other issue I found about it is that the majority of the cast looks ‘incomplete’, but this can be only a impression from an ‘old-newbie’ like me, so, instead of being guided by the hatewave, I will continue try it before give a definitive verdict (and focus only in KOF). Anyway, it is fun to play and this is what matters the most for me. Games are meant to be fun.

AE is the most popular FG in this era, and it is not the most overrated. You probably suck at AE and that is why you complain about it. AE is the hybrid mixture of blends between CvS2 and 3S era. I don’t mean this by a blend of styles and mechanics between the games, I am talking about the quality of it as a fighting game. It is not on the same level as 3S/CvS2, however, it is on its own league a few notches below the 2001 era, and stands tall and strong for the new present generation.
What I think is happening is there are too many people bashing SFxT and since some of us are very harsh in our perspectives it tends to make other people “feel sorry” for the SFxT fans and “open their minds” a little bit. You know, the psychosis that is “Man, it’s not as bad as some make it out to be!”
I think it is hard to connect the realms between the SF4 players and the SFxT in general, and both realms will always somewhat have beef with one another. It’s true that SFxT’s quality as a game is questionable though, and we won’t know if it will qualify as a true fighter until we look at EVO 2013 next year.
What I meant to say was even though SF4 was scrubbed and watered down in contrast to 3S/CvS2, it is holds itself a high balanced and competitive quality fighting game that does not top the 2001 era, but it stands tall against most of the other fighting games from 2008-present day today.
So let’s get SF4 out of the discussion, because SFxT players don’t like how they got bodied in SF4. They don’t like the footsies, fireball zoning, FADC ultra combos, FA risk vs reward systems, the slower-paced environment, plinking combos, and the more precise execution that SFxT doesn’t really have. SFxT fans don’t really like wakeup pressure too, they in fact like that they can escape by doing that roll over move in SFxT. So yeah let’s not bring SF4 up in here. Most SFxT players I talk to haven’t not even touched SF4 since SFxT launch date. So, the community has literally been split and it’s hard to connect both realms.
Lol you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Look at you list again. P-Linking combos is not in SFxT? Keep truckin’ son.
Whilst I don’t like chain combos, removing them would take out one of the main differentiators from SF4. I rarely use them (other than in tight punish situations) since the damage is a little worse.
Maybe some find SFxT more enjoyable than SF4 or got their mileage out of the game and wanted 2 play something different. And rolls do not mean guaranteed escape from pressure either, get 2 roll happy you get blown up. And I guess by your logic, SF4 players are scrubs who couldn’t handle 3s parries, aegis reflector combos, universal overheads, and chun li.
