i think it’s a bit sad if you need a reason other than fun to play a game.
also realize any person who is good at what they do (including games) is someone who simply enjoys doing that thing. all the other shit (fame, respect, etc.) comes afterwards. if you removed all those things they would still be doing it. that’s how you become ‘good’ at something.
so don’t look for other people for your decisions.
if you like something you should know it. be honest with yourself and know when to move on and when something is just too good to give up.
i’ve stepped away from 3S thinking it was just not worth the time. it doesn’t do anything for me and i don’t even get to play REAL matches often. but then somehow i always end up drifting back to it. i don’t mind being just some subpar player. the game is fun. i have no delusions of grandeur. i play because it makes my brain fuzzy and warm.
i don’t know what you’re after dude but if it’s money and fame, you’re in the wrong place and you’re doing it wrong to begin with.
