Just make sure you don’t use youtube/safari unless your on wifi.
Also, i’m pretty sure you can call up ATT and tell them to block all data activity just incase of anything.
to activate a new one, you do. or at least, you did at least according to the 3 owners i’ve talked to, and the cell phone department at work. i thought it would carry over to the used one.
i should’ve said edge. my bad.
thx for the help.
Anyone else play/ beat tap defense. Are there more levels on the harder modes?
how do you get swirly mms to work on an iphone (att)??
There are a few work arounds, but few that work… if at all. Check out THISthread for details (only 3 pages).
Att is really picky about that for some reason.
I “Had” an iphone… Shit was trash and overatted. I went back to the pda, so i can play emulatars on it plus more.
I like my iphone.
but then i fucked around with a friend’s blackberry storm. beautiful lookin device. i want it.
I got the at&t tilt instead of the iphone
I was going to buy one but everyone around me had either the old iphone or the 3g model.
With that frustration, I chose Nokia N96.
Sold my iPhone 3G. A $30 data plan that doesn’t allow me to tether and does not include SMS/MMS just wasn’t worth it.
Using a Nokia E71-2 because of its business applications and ability to BT DUN to my laptop. I can also use Joiku and turn my E71-2 into a wifi hotspot if I wanted to have internet access on multiple devices.
I’ll use my iPod Touch if I’m not carrying my laptop around.
If I were to jailbreak my Itouch, what applications would I need to install?
Wait what? You’re not allowed to tether?
Tethering: http://technologizer.com/2008/11/06/att-tethering-coming-to-the-iphone-soon/
I have a 3G, and it has SMS standard, and with MMS there are 3rd party apps that you can get, or you can email a pic directly to a phone. A lot of my friends use Verizon, so if I want to send a picture, I just email it to theirphonenumber@vzwpix.com. The lack of video is my only complaint - I <3 my 3G. (And I <3 RoninChaos for selling it to me :p)
the unlocking tool for iphone 3G has just been released, codenamed yellowsn0w.
Hey, please help me if you knowany of this information, can I replace it for the warranty because my mirror is completely damagaed, but apparently, it’s still working though. However, the Apple specialist just told me if I could buy only $299 again to replace it. Is there a best way to get it fixed or I will take your advices. Any suggestions?
Who offers a phone with tethering AND text messaging for under 30 bucks? Who?
Are we allowed to discuss Jailbreaking in this thread?
If you want to go based on T&C’s, then none.
But if you disregard the T&C’s then with AT&T, you can get their unlimited medianet plan ($15) and a message plan ($15 for 1500 messages) for a total of $30 and just use an unlocked phone that has the 850/1900 3G frequencies and you’re set. If you want unlimited everything (messaging and data) then you can get the $35 MediaMax unlimited and call it a day.
I used my Nokia N95 (also used it with my E66-2 and E71-2) with that specific plan configuration and tethered via Bluetooth and/or USB and it worked fine. I could browse all sites (including https) with no problems whatsoever on my laptop, UMPC, and even on the phone itself. An even bigger plus for me was that I could use joikuspot (free program) which is a program that allows me to turn my N95 into a wireless router. That way I can use my internet connection on more than one device at the same time. The phone itself will issue the IP’s just like any other router. :woot:
I say we should be able to since there’s nothing really bad about it that could really damage the phone. Besides there are a lot of useful applications that are available for the iPod Touch/iPhone that are not on Apple’s “App Store.”
