So I read the thread more and I guess there’s some hate for SFP? How did they “sellout” and why should it make me not like their music
naw there’s no hate. they just switched their OG style up after getting signed. it’s very different, but still very good stuff. imo i’d tell one to listen to their stuff in order to understand how they’ve progressed from the indie scene to the mainstream. not a bad thing at all as they’ve done it quite well.
it’s just that the style change irked some people, myself included at first. as i gave stuff like futuristic imagination and future nova more and more listens, i was just like “these guys are too good” and just accepted the fact that since they’re a big band now & signed to a big label (Sony), they have to switch it up a little to appeal to mass audiences.
then when amp reflection finally came out i was in love again <3

O hey whats this thread. Listen to a little japanese music, mostly stuff fom anime like a lot of people, and branched out from there. I saw Makoto, shingo2 and SFP mentioned, nice.
Lack of Rei Harakami and Hiromi is pretty mind blowing though, well, Rei I can understand, his stuff can be pretty hard to come by, and is, I dunno, I guess a somewhat boring sound? hah, I guess I’d classify it as ambient electronica. Crazy good to listen to when you wanna chill. Lust is such a godlike tune.
