I’m going to be padhacking an xbox 360 fightpad into a ps3 TE stick, I want to pickup an IMP board, now how exactly is the wiring done for that situation? I see alot of wiring for ps3 pad to xbox te or cthulu board to xbox te but nothin really for an xbox pad to imp info…I just need what wires go where onto the imp from where basically…I understand I’ll be using the switch thats already on the ps3 TE to toggle between xbox and ps3 pcb’s…

I tried to follow this guide but with a ps3 te a madcatz fight pad and a Imp board, works still on ps3 but xbox does not pick up at all. i think im not clear on the imp connection, should i have the ground from both pcb connected to the imp ground and same for 5v? or do i have to connect ground from ps3 pcb to 360 and 360 to imp? and do the same for 5v?

Both of what you typed mean the same thing.

PlayStation 3 to Xbox 360, then Xbox 360 to Imp.
That is same as PlayStation 3 to Xbox 360, then PlayStation 3 to Imp and Xbox 360 to Imp.

If you are not any of those, then you wired wrong.

no what i did is ps3 and 360 to imp, the imp is the only thing connecting them.

Okay.

You have to connect Ground of PlayStation 3 to Ground of Xbox 360.
You have to connect +5V of PlayStation 3 to +5V of Xbox 360.

Then from either PCB, +5V to Imp.
Then from either PCB, Ground to Imp.

I’m only typing because I don’t know what you are saying.

You only wired the Data Lines of PlayStation 3 to Imp.
You need to also do Data Lines of Xbox 360 to Imp.

That is what 1 D+ and 1 D- and 2 D+ and 2 D- are for.
Hook up the Xbox 360 to Imp.
So you fix that.

If you switched Xbox 360 to Primary, would it work?
Because now everything is wired correctly.

Now you have to test.
See if it is Imp problem, or your Xbox 360 died.

Turns out im an idiot. i did not hook up the usb to the imp and i left it on the ps3 board. The stick works on both consoles now.

2 things i dont get.
The usb has 2 black wires thick and thin. which one goes on the imp? and what do i do with the other one?
"Please note that with PS3-only Cthulhu mods, the diagrams show the power wire connecting the Cthulhu and Imp as coming from the 3rd row V point. You should actually connect the wire to the Cthulhu’s USB 5V point, not row 3-V."

  1. You need the ‘thin’ one goign to the Blk-GND point. The thick one you can cut off entirely, or if you’re a perfectionist, solder it to one of the big ring holes between the four USb points and the edge of the board.
  2. The screw terminal labelled ‘VCC’, or the unlabelled hole for VCC.

So if I’ve read correctly, bomberman’s set up has the cthulu as master and faux’s diagram has se pcb as master, so that the stick starts up as 360 without holding down the guide?

If i plug VCC(imp) into the cthulhu(vcc), than where would the “5V” point on the pcb be connected too?

cause theres only one VCC point.
