Ok so I have hooked up the gamecube wire using a continuity finder to find the wires i need. I turn on the wii and plug in my fight stick and all four lights blink once then nothing happens and I have no control. Is there something else I need to do to make this work.
Did you update the firmware? All of the MC’s that go out have the original old code on it, and the most recent has much better autodetection. If you do have the newest firmware, then its a wiring problem. Recheck your cable and your soldering.
I updated my chip now i dont get anylights when i plug it into the WII. I keep testing the pins with this continuty screw driver tool I have where it is supposed to light up when i have continuity. But for instance both the white wire and blue wire glow for pin 3 and both the silver wire and green wire glow for pin 1. I’m not sure where to go from here.
Sounds like your little probe tool is touching more than one pin at once in the GC connector. Use a straightened paper clip so you can be sure to only touch one pin at a time.
Im pretty sure i have the right wires connected tested everything again. But I still plug it in and it blinks once and im stuck in the main wii menu when you turn it on. It doesnt make since I have the three wires im pretty pretty positive and they are connected like they are supposed to be. but it just blinks once and thats it. God Damn this is frustrating. Do you have any advice on things I can try
Let me ask you something…
Exactly what were you expecting it to do in the main Wii menu? Please don’t expect it to do things that real Gamecube controllers can’t.
lol ive never used a game cube controller on here. I dont really play the system mcuh at all my wife bought it. So are you saying that i need to get into the game with the wii remote first because if that is true i have wasted a lot of soldering time and look like a retard
I’m just saying it won’t do squat in a program that doesn’t accept GC inputs, including the wii main menu. Go into a VC game or some title that supports GC controllers (TvC, GGX, any VC title, etc.) if you want to actually test the GC support. Old school (NES, SNES, Genesis) VC titles and actual Gamecube games that use the dpad (like CvS2:EO) would be the easiest to test on for the first setup since they’re just plug and go if you don’t have another GC controller or classic controller connected.
Now I just need to find a WII remote
:wtf: You’re killing me, man.
Lol so it turns out im just a retard and everything was right all along. Just never realised i couldnt use a gamecube controlller on the wii menu. My bad. Im dumb dumb as hell. Thanks for the help toodles sorry for wasting your time.
Is there any way to mod the TE 360 Stick to work on the Wii
Multi-Console Cthulhu is the cool way.
Gamecube Controller on the Wii.
If you can do this, it is cool too.
Toodles: i don’t know if you have any access to Lizard lick, but they need to update your products with proper links to this thread. The old one doesn’t work since the forum changed.
It’s supposed to go to the Cthulhu/Chimp thread, but yeah that’s a problem. I’ll tell him.
Just did mine by getting the MC cthulu and soldering in a gamecube wire was real easy and works great.
Hey Guys,
I’ve had a successful dual mod on my 360 TE stick using a Multi C’thulu. I recently decided to add an Rj-45 Jack to use the multi functions of the C’thulu board. I installed the jack no problem and soldered the enthernet cable to points G through V on the MC. I made an original xbox cable and plugged it into the RJ-45 Jack. When I turn on the original xbox my 360 jewel light flashes once on the stick, but then nothing responds no directions, buttons etc. I have triple checked my solder connections as well as the ethernet crimp on the original xbox cable. The stick still works fine on 360. Any ideas as to what might be going on? All help GREATLY appreciated!
-Thanks
Do you know what Firmware you have?
Version 1.3 and higher (Version 1.4 just out today) has autodetect.
If you have older Firmware, then flash with newer.
If do not want, then hold Left while plug into the Xbox.
nice guide.
does anyone have a link or pic of a wire diagram to connect a Madcatz 4716 pad and Imp into a PS3 TE Stick, i seen this Installing a Madcatz 4716 pad and Imp into a PS3 TE Stick tutorial, but im not to clear on the wire mapping.
thanks.
