I’ve tried both .05 and .031 and both worked fine for me, no noticeable difference.

Actually, I think it’s way different on a PS3 TE. 1timeuse, sorry, I can’t be of any help to you - I’ve only dualmodded my 360 and haven’t opened up my PS3 TE in awhile. I’m sure someone knows the answer, though.
oh, sorry I misunderstood, thought he was talking about a ps3 only Cthulhu mod on 360 te… need to read better…
I need to open mine again tomorrow, I’ll check it out and let u know if I find it (if no one has replied by then)
one is black one is silver (should be obvious which is whitch haha). other than that the same. just google them
ah, i see. thanks
i did google them and found like no difference, but posted here just to make sure
oh that’s weird, if u google them separately, the first link on both should show a pic of what it looks like…
anyway, yeah they’re the same. the diff is between the ne8mc(-b) and ne8mc(-b)-1. one is for assembled cords (like the Jack is already crimped on) and the other is for putting on before you crimp it on. I think the “-1” is for the already assembled cords.
yes that would be great. it’s the last thing i need to do before i can start testing and completing a ps3 te dual mod i’m doing for a friend. thanks!
EDIT:
FML. so i tried experimenting connecting the Imp Guide point to the back of the PS3 TE board to try and find the RS point by trial and error, and now i think i’ve fried the imp board. it’s no longer receiving power from the usb cable as it was before. luckily i didn’t damage either of the PS3/360 boards as they still work.
someone, PLEASE let me know where the correct point is for the RS switch on the PS3 TE board.
Dre’s mod.
I was given the pcbs only this time so Dre is going to have to solder his own usb cable. I added color coated wires for an easier usb install for him. The IMP was damaged from a previous install so I used alternate points.

EJM, that is incredibly clean.
1timeuse, check all your connections. I soldered/desoldered some USB wires to the imp while it was plugged in and thought I fried it - turned out some wires just got loose. Failing that, use a multimeter - I think there could be alternate points you could use if your board isn’t fried.
^yeah, but the thing is, the way i found out my imp wasn’t working was when it happened twice. the first time i didn’t know what was going on when my imp wouldn’t power on, so i tried another imp that i was planning on using for another mod. it powered on fine with that one, until i started testing points for the RS switch. it was only then that i realized that’s what screwed me. so i’m actually out two imp boards =(
and i don’t have a multimeter. i probably could have avoided this whole mess if i had one in the first place lol.
o_o that’s pretty weird… I did some weird things to my imp and it’s still chugging. I’d suggest getting a multimeter and checking it out before chucking them. How did you check for power? Did you connect one pcb to it, then plug the USB cable into a PC?
I gave the stick back to Obi and he can only get PS3 mode. His 360 mode doesn’t work, how does he go about getting 360 mode to work on an MC Cthulu or is there something I wired wrong? I don’t have the stick now but I will get it back in a day or so if he can’t get 360 mode to work.
Question: Is the Cthulu’s Home supposed to be connected to the 360’s “XGUILD”? If so, why is Home connected to what appears to be XGUILD on my 360 PCB and the Imp Guide is connected to “R STICK” on my 360 PCB, given that the wires are soldered to the specified positions? Also, if Home and XGUILD are to be on the same circuit, should they both then be connected to Guide on the IMP?
I’m thinking that my 360 PCB might be different from what’s shown in the OP’s pics because what’s supposed to be connected to Imp Guide is not XGUILD but R STICK…
My brain’s kind of fried right now, but a cursory look at your post suggests that you’re confused about the imp’s GUIDE point being connected to R STICK. I’m pretty sure the that the imp’s guide point goes to whatever button will handle the switching between the PCBs. In this case, it’s connected to R STICK, which means that whenever you plug the stick in while the joystick selector is set to RS, the imp will know to use the secondary PCB (instead of holding down a guide button). Technically, I think you could just wire the imp’s GUIDE point to any button - say, START - and you’d choose which console you want to use by holding the START button when plugging the stick in to the console.
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong - I don’t want to mislead anyone o_o
The XGUIDE on the 360 board should connect to the home on the cthulhu, so the big X button activates both the 360 dashboard and the PS3 XMB. The point labelled Guide on the Imp is really completely separate from all of that; the only thing it does is control whether the Imp uses USB device #1 or #2. If you want to use the big X button to select whether to go to PS3 or 360 mod, feel free to connect the Imp’s guide to the XGUIDE and Cthulhu Home points. But since we all agree that the slide switch is better and easier, you’ll enjoy it better if the Imp’s guide point connects ONLY to the R STICK point, and not anywhere dealing with XGUIDE or cthulhu Home.
Wiring the Imp Home/Guide point to the RS point as above is much better. You can leave the switch in RS mode for a permanent PS3 stick, without the need to mess about with holding buttons down whilst plugging the stick in.
Hm, that answers a few questions of mine, but then I still need to confirm that my 360 PCB is fried.
VCC on 360 is 4.92V
D+ is 2.912V
D- is 2.985V
Resistance between VCC and ground is 2.518k ohm when unpowered
Cthulu works whether in “1” or “2” data pairs on Imp
360 doesn’t work in either “1” or “2”
I got an issue. I think I might have a bad IMP board but I want to see if that is the issue or not.
So I wired everything up. When i have the ps3 in 1 and 360 in 2, the 360 works fine, but when I plug the cable in the ps3, I get “An recognized USB device has been plugged in” or something like that… Now when I switch and put the 360 in 1 and ps3 in 2. The ps3 works fine, but the 360 pcb flashes once, then nothing… So I think it’s something up with the “1” terminals or something. None of the solder is touching each other or anything, so I don’t understand why it’s not working. I’ve done an IMP mod before on a TE and had no problems. Now I am trying it with an HRAP3 and having issues.
Go through the troubleshooting guide for the Imp, especially the parts that test resistance through the chip, and checking to make sure there isnt a short between the 2D+ and 2D-
