Installing an MC Cthulhu and Imp in an Xbox 360 SF4 SE stick

With an MC Cthulhu, no. There are 4 diodes that come with the MC that take care of that (and more).

Bomberman, what size screw did you get for mounting the Cthulhu and where did you get it from? I went to Home depot with the default screw from the madcatz guide button PCB, but they said they didn’t have anything that small.

Thanks for answering him, Upas.

Man, I just pulled one out of a batch of random screws I had. If you find out the exact size needed (at Lowe’s maybe?), please let me know.

I melted the Solder off so to me it doesnt look like the jumper pads are connected but there is still some solder on the individual jumper pads
Is this ok or should I just melt it completely

That’s fine  As long as the contacts don’t touch, its fine.

Make sure you put the rest of the diodes in!

Thanx i’m putting them in right now

This thread has helped me a lot, thanks Bomberman!

Here are my solder pics for the diodes
Let me know if they look ok
Taking it slow

Yeah, those are fine. But we don’t want the thread getting cluttered up too much, so try to just post when you have a question or when your mod is complete. Thanks dude.

So the correct Wiring Diagram would be this then…?

If attempting the RJ-45 Mod would the jack fit inside of the Cable compartment of a TE Stick…?

Would the above wiring diagram apply to the PS3 Cthulhu also?

Instead of hooking up 5v on the imp to the V1 slot, hook it up to the USB’s power contact.

I’m pretty sure this has been answered before… I had this problem and posted in here.

Its kind of a tight fit, but a size 2 (M2? I dunno, the dude just said size 2) 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch, depending on the size of your spacer, screw will fit.

Thanks for the reply!

When you say the USB power contact, are you talking about The 5v or the usbvcc on the 360 board? Sorry if is has been answered before but it sifting through hundreds of posts and many dealing with only the MC I’m sure I missed the answer somewhere. I also looked at your older posts and I’m still confused lol.

Edit: After going back through your older posts I found what you are talking about. I connect the IMP 5v to the PS3 Cthulu Red V. Thanks for your Help!

Yes and No. The jack can be put inside of the compartment from the back, but when you hook up your system cable, the door will not shut. This is if you are going to use the Neutrik RJ45 jack and plugs.

It is also irritating to have the jack inside the compartment when trying to change remove cables. The select button spot is a better solution. Use the compartment to store another system cable

To me it is a clean setup would rather have the jack hidden inside of the compartment and when I am done playing TvC for example I can just disconnect the RJ-45 cable put it in my backpack and store the original usb cable in the compartment. Not interested in taken away any of the Select & Start buttons or putting a hole elsewhere on the case. I wanna go for that hidden original look

The compartment will close if you do not use the matching plugs for the Neutrik jacks.

If there’s room, I’d rather just drill a hole beside the TE start button. It looks tight but it might work.

For me… It was too close for comfort. The case screw posts are directly beside this point. I didn’t want to attempt this.

I will be using the neutrik so the compartment should still close when the cable is disconnected from the RJ-45 jack right…?

Check post 121 of this thread. Maxx Mana Did this exact mod.
