WB won’t let a game with their license ship without a T rating. Period. S’why MKvDC was such a trainwreck content wise.
Not that a character being demented or sadistic has anything to do with it. Both the Arkham games and Gotham Imposters are filled with content any sane parent would keep from their 13 year olds, but this is america and the only thing that bumps you up from T to M is excessive titty flesh or open wounds.
I want Rorschach in this game just because the character itself is interesting lol
His intro would be saying a monologue from his “journal”, then looks at opponent, puts journal away, and says badass(or cheesy one liner) with both hands in his trench coat pockets
Well, I guess what I should said is they won’t let mainline DCU genre stuff ship without a T rating. Between Alan Moore’s general insanity and the wretched performance of the properties revival, clearly nobody @ wb gives a shit about Watchmen’s credibility.
They wouldn’t let Rocksteady push Arkham City into M territory, I’m sure this won’t get there.
Rorschach is still different enough in his own right because of how fucked up his view on human life/moral ethics is and people would know Rorschach because of the Movie (even though i recall seeing The Question on a few justice league animated episodes). Then again Question is also likely to show up because i think he does appear in the 52 series. All i know is we need a guy rocking a non-anime style trench-coat in this game and being the “detective character” (batman does not count)
The difference between Rorschach and the Question is only on the extremes in which they take their black and white view of morality. And despite Rorschach’s very extreme approach, his popularity has less to do with him being “fucked up” as much as he was the only character in the book to actually hold true to his ideals. This combined with his harsh upbringing, high (albeit unstable) intellect, and tragic life made him the most sympathetic character in Watchmen. With all of that said, the Watchmen universe is its own self contained universe with little to no interaction with the DC universe outside of very small instances, like Rorschach’s appearance as an Easter egg in Kingdom Come.
Anyways, I do hope that either Vic Sage or Renee Montoya’s iteration of the Question sees some action in Injustice. Trench coat detectives are just that awesome.
I talked about this earlier that the question is not suited to be in this game as more than a cameo. He doesn’t fight well enough to pick over other nonpowered characters.
The question isn’t really a fighter anyway he would be the perfect choice in a LA Noire game but not this. His moveset would be bland compared to others and I think he would be a bit of a waste here.
Doesn’t fight well enough? The Question was trained by Richard Dragon, who is up there with Batman when it comes to hand to hand combat. Hell, I think they even made it so that Bruce Wayne was trained by Richard at some point in his career.
These are superheroes we’re talking about. Talking during fights is standard.
Right. This why the Joker managed to get into MKvsDC and he’s not known for his physical prowess at all. Had to use the resident plot device just to explain why he can kick anyone’s ass. At least the Question is a trained material artist
To be fair, the Joker is the Joker, he’s one of the most iconic DC characters of all time, definitely the most recognized villain. He may not have martial prowess, but that won’t stop them from including him. Plus, part of why he is an interesting character is his sheer unpredictability, whereas the Question would just be a generic hand to hand fighter, and doesn’t have nearly the Joker’s renown.
I just don’t want big conversations during the fights because it’s lame to me period, if you’re in a fight to the death you’re focused on winning not some dumbass quip.
Also are you really gonna compare the Question to Joker? The Joker has a bunch of unique, goofy gadgets to make him stand out and even the odds a bit while the Question is as basic as basic can be as a fighter.
I could go into this more but it’s stupid to even compare those situations and Humblerbee already nailed it anyway.
It’s not issue with him than it shouldn’t with Question. Recognition aside, it’s a weak excuse that doesn’t hold any water as to exclude the character.
It’s not a weak excuse, the Question would have a lame moveset that no matter what they tried to do with him would be better for a character like Deathstroke, Black Canary, Green Arrow, etc.
Question belongs in a more mental type game like Heavy Rain or Alan Wake not one where he’s suppose to be fight guys above his paygrade like Batman and Flash.
