Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

It’d be funny as hell if it was Ice instead. That’d be an excellent troll.

Really tho this game needs more Vaginas. Vixen,Fire, Powergirl, Lady Elemental, Pandora, Catwoman, and Raven. C’mon…

Harley Quinn…I love her but she should not be in this game. Just don’t fit.

My Reasons:

  1. He is a flash rogue, and as a group they happen to be possibly the most liked rogue group among the dc fanbase. That’s part of the reason I would like both him and Grodd (though technically he isn’t a member of the group) in this.
  2. Out of this groups he is the most feasible gameplay wise (at least out of the ones prominent enough to get in). Mirror Master would be sweet, but he would be a pain to implement. He and Grodd fit the bill best. Not to mention he is the rogues leader.
  3. He is probably more prominent than killer frost
  4. The whole ethical code he makes the rogues abide by is an interesting facet that isn’t really touched on by most villain groups. He fully realizes how stupid it is to kill a cop or hero, as it brings more cops and heroes. And killing women and children are a severe no no. His general personality is unusual for most villains.
  5. He is a total bad@$$ (not saying frost isnt, just why I want him) Possibly the quickest draw in the dc universe (kind of have to be with the flash). People like to compare him to freeze, but he actually is much stronger. Freeze shoots a freeze gun, cold shoots absolute zero. He also has an absolute zero field around him that can slow down the flashes molecules enough that he can somewhat keep up.
  6. He can pull off a parka

I like most of your post just have a few issues…

  1. Batman has the most loved rouges gallery in all of comics and it’s not even close.

  2. I think it’s a wash honestly. I give Frost the slight edge because she’s been in more DC cartoons but generally they are both unknown I’d say.

  3. Isn’t Jonah Hex the fastest draw in DC? I’m pretty sure he is, they even had Batman lose to him in a duel and Batman never loses to other Humans.

I just wanted to see where all this CC love was coming from because I never hear him brought up from Comic fans even when I talk about Flash. It’s always Grodd.

The other thing with Cap’n Cold is that he’s a novel choice. Everybody expects Mr. Freeze or possibly Killer Frost, so to pick Cold gives the ‘hey wow I didn’t expect that!’ excitement.

Also, since the trailer hinted really heavily that it was him, there’s the good feeling of figuring something out.

I’m def. in the first camp, I wanna see unusual/unexpected characters.

  1. He is the exact reason I said possibly. And among the dc fanbase. Measure the casual fan and yes your right its not even close. If you look at the big dc comic readers that gap closes significantly. Think of them as the ensemble darkhorses of rogues galleries.
  2. Not really, cartoon wise they have appeared about equally, both with cameos in most of the major dc shows and movies. Comics wise cold has a much larger presence. And in those cartoon appearances fans are more likely to get who cold is. Frost shows up as a random ice villain (with a really cool moment in JLU). They have no idea where she is from or anything else besides being a villain. People would get a lot more of cold’s personality, the fact that he is a flash villain, and a bit of the relationship he has with other rogues and flash.
  3. Why I said possibly, it’s never been explicitly stated who is the fastest, but he is always mentioned as one of them, and his appearances back that up. Hex would be a good challenger though.

Now make no mistake I have no problem with frost, just saying why he is cool. Grodd is brought up more because he is the most well known stand alone villain, and he is original. People who don’t know cold tend to write him off as a knock off mister freeze. People who get past that point tend to note how awesome he is.

…can’t we all just agree zoom makes the most sense. Frost and cold arent interesting enough gameplay wise to warrant a presence in the game. Zoom would just be a altered flash, think of ryu and ken.

That’s what I Think about Gen. Zod tho’ :stuck_out_tongue:

And it still doesn’t account for the fact that the trailer very heavily implies that Cold is in the game.

  1. True but Flash’s rouges gallery is just as good as Batman’s. Bat’s rouges has the benefit of being more mainstream characters.

  2. All I have to say is Superfriends. Cold was a member of the Legion of Doom. The show’s place in pop culture goes without saying.

Boon wants every character to feel unique. Zoom being a “Ken” does not fit with the desired design philology. Honestly, Zoom being an altered Flash would be a waste of a character slot. I still remember the backlash fans had when Hwa had an identical moveset to Joe in KoFXIII.

He didn’t say really good gallery, which I would have been fine with. He said “most liked” which just isn’t true. Spiderman and Batman are ahead of Flash.

Nobody even remembers Cold was in that show lol, nice try. I had to google search that shit, you’re reaching. Just say you like him.

You =/= everybody. That show made gave exposure to many lesser known villains like Grundy, Cheetah, Toyman, Black Manta, Giganta, etc. Cold being among them. People remembering that show is the reason why Aquaman continues to have his shitty repetition and it’s been over 20 years now!

Dude, speak for yourself. I remember Cold and his snowball gun very very well.

None of you bastards are old enough to remember the Superfriends ‘for reals’ anyways /oldfogeyhat

I’ve pasted too much Seanbaby in this thread, but what the fuck

ANXIOUSLY waiting for a demo announcement.

Hopefully have a demo out by the end of the year.

I seriously & I mean SERIOUSLY want to get my hands on this game.

And nobody knows who half of those guys are. Aquaman got way more screen time than Cold and no one remembers him from that show.

You also =/= everybody. You can’t compare comic heads like us when I’m talking about people in general.

Frost/Cold is still a wash, they are both nobodies to the public and you guys are arguing semantics now.

Well again, everyone remembers aquaman from that show. That’s why he gets the massive amount of hate/mockery he does, because everybody thinks of the Superfriends version.

And what does that have to do with Cold? Exactly. You guys aren’t even making solid points right now, you’re grasping at straws.

You two like CC, that’s cool. But don’t pretend he’s not a nobody.

You’re the one that brought up the comparison to Aquaman, not me :stuck_out_tongue:

I just like talking about the Superfriends. If that’s mentioned I have a 538% chance of replying.

Edit: I just realized my chance of responding is the same as the number of delegates in the electoral college. That must mean something.

Stop using yourself to generalize what people don’t know.

Superfriends, The Challenge of the Superfriends in particular is imbedded within popular culture. It’s regularly parodied on Family Guy, Sean Baby has a section of his site dedicated to how dumb the show was, it was featured in I Love [insert decade here] show on VH1. This has nothing to do with comic readers. Anyone remotely familiar with Superfriends knows the characters featured in it. It’s why people still remember who Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog are even though they haven’t appeared in anything until they had cameos in Young Justice. Why the Wonder Twins are still known despite being in limbo since the show ended (guest spot in Smallville not withstanding). Cold is apart of that.

You must be too young to know how awesome Superfriends was.

 Please I’m so sick of people trying to use my age as an excuse as to why their right when their point is proven false.

Once again the Heroes like Aquaman appeared every episode and had more screen time than the villains naturally. Cold got very little time and he is rarely if ever referenced in any parodies, it’s almost always the heroes parodied because they are what defined that show and what people remember.

You just said alot of nothing and none of that proves why people know who he is, because we both know they don’t. He’s a C- Villain but he does have potential for more but no one has does anything with him yet.

Actually it was Hawk who brought Aquaman up not me trying to use brief appearances in SF as an excuse of him being famous. He really has nothing to do with anything in this discussion.

This thread regularly goes weird places. I think its the lack of news.

Oh also, haven’t linked this yet:
