Ha love how off topic this briefly got. Also interesting seeing people argue over whether two things I like are better (or not) than each other. They are both cool (or horrible depending on the product)
Is it weird that though i know Lex Luthor is most likely getting in im not hyped about it? I like Lex Luthor as a character, but I just can’t get excited for playing as him and I don’t quite get why.
It kind of goes against the concept, imo.
The superman/Luthor thing is all about exceptional inhuman abilities vs human wit/genius, but with the expected roles reversed. Luthor is specifically not a fighter, and whenever they make him one it’s always dumb.

Luthor is one of those villains that are best when they don’t get physical. I prefer Luthor as a corrupt CEO than the mad scientist that busts out the green anti-superman armor. The former plays up to his character strengths.
You know I think that might be it, he is capable of things just as good as ironman with the armor, and when he pulls it out in the comics it makes sense because he is usually using it as a last resort. But I just don’t identify him with it.
Also the fact that he never has a helmet and yet still survives headshots bugs me. It doesn’t make sense.

I’m okay with the scientist, probably because the stuff I’m used to is from before they came up with President Luthor (Mainly being superfriends and the old ‘superman encyclopedia’ which covers the comics from about 1940 to about 1970)
I do kind of feel for them though, they pretty much have to include him in any game, just like any game with Batman needs the Joker, or any game with the Xmen needs Magneto. Still a pity.
Maybe some gameplay of his would hype me more,stillI have no problem with him being included, he does deserve it. I just would prefer Braniac or something on a personal level.
Though if he steals cake during storymode at any point i’m sold
Luthor would be looked at more seriously as a threat if his armor suit didn’t look so ridiculous. I’ve heard so many complains and comments about all the ways it’s not practical.

I will say that I am insanely disappointed that this doesn’t have a block button. As silly as it is the implementation of a block button in 2D fighting is something that Ed Boon has been huge on. Feels like less of a game of his if it doesn’t have a block button.
I believe Capcom owns their engine, while NRS will have to license for another platform.
It seems like its just different costs, paying for another license vs having to actually adopt their engine (since I presume Unreal engine is pretty much native to PC)
The Capcom engine might actually be native to PC also. I say ‘might’, because I don’t really know, but I assume the bean counters determined that it would be low risk on the PC, whereas the WB guys found the opposite to be true. It could also be that NRS is resource starved and they couldn’t spare any engineers or designers for the PC versions.

MT Framework is native to PC. All games developed using that engine is developed on PC then ported to consoles

Really wish I could get a chance to attend a show that has a build of this game. From everything that I’ve heard so far about it, it sounds like a hell of a fun game. Wish they would give us the current build as a demo on the marketplaces just so we can get a chance to play what’s in it so far.
Quick question, why do so many people want Captain Cold over Killer Frost? I would Prefer Killer Frost personally.

Simple, the first thing we see from the trailer is Flash narrowly dodging an ice blast to the face. Captain Cold immediately comes to mind as he is an ice themed Flash villain. Cold is fucking boss.
