I was under the impression that special and environment button were the same thing. I remember him saying that environment interaction was also character specific.
They could both still well be, although I remember reading that environmental interaction was class specific, so maybe ‘special’ is character, and environment is class.

Nope different buttons, but how they interact with environments are specific between the types of characters.

We don’t have a real gameplay because the game still young and full of placeholders like subzero used to have kano’s grab in early footages of mk9.
Thanks for clearing that up. Though I hope there are more character classes down the line. Someone like the Flash doesn’t seem fit with either one.
If you count ‘power’ as ‘having special abilities’ as compared to ‘being strong’, it fits, but I’d agree more would be good
I was thinking the same thing, maybe a couple will get their own moves. For the most part I see most power based people being able to lift a car, but it doesn’t fit him.
Also I want to see his super they keep raving about already.
Since Boon keeps promoting ‘power’ with characters whose base abilities are associated with strength doesn’t lead me to believe that will be the case.

I would prefer if the vid was here and not just the link. On Topic: I absolutely agree that Flash should have his own thing and I believe they will add more classes to the game because NRS is prone to over complicate things than they are to make things simple.
So I very much doubt by the time this game is finish we’ll only have two classes that don’t fit everyone. I like how NRS guy is like “Yes I know environment attacks pitchfork and arrows. Chill out guys we got this…” that shit made me laugh.

It’s tricky because just about all the other characters fit into one or another of the categories (and powersuit Luthor into both), speedsters have always been their own weird thing, and they’re not gonna give him his own unique class
They’ll need another class if they add magic characters. Say if Raven makes it in no way she fits into the other categories. I think an energy based class should be implemented. Flash can fit in such a category.
This is the correct answer, the speed force can definitely be seen as energy so that works perfect. Also I think it’s a no brainer that we are gonna get either Zatanna or Raven because they are both popular female magic users from popular cartoons. If we get Dr.Fate instead of my girls I’ll be quite pissed, love them.
Green Lantern, Captain Atom, Starfire, Fire, Ice, Black Carnary, Circe, all fit into this “Energy” category better because than don’t usually relie on power or gadgets.

I’ll be fine with any of the Hawks making it in. One of them would make for a great flight based power character. I wouldn’t mind this game had it’s own Sentinel and Painwheel.

I agree with the addition of either raven or zatanna( especially Zatanna). However Dr. Fate is awesome, and if he got in I would personally geek out.
I think Superman is gonna be the flight based power character of the game because in almost ALL of his gameplay the dude is either flying or floating like MODOK. I have also heard in one of the interviews that Supes is gonna be focused on flight so I believe he’ll become the Sent in this game from what I’ve heard and read from both players and NRS employees.
I love Painwheel (check sig) so I would love to see her type of character which is a faster flying character that relies on flight cancels and fight on both ground and air. I think personally Hawkwoman could pull off being a fast flyer better than Hawkman because we all know he loves throwing his weight around whereas Hawkgirl has always seemed more balanced imo.
It’d be cool to see a Sent (Supes) and Painwheel (either Hawk) in the game, the Hawk and Supes are all very durable so they could easily give them armor and it would make sense as well. This is all fun theory stuff tho it’d be dope if it happened lol.
I thought that’s what happened, yeah SRK can be wonky sometimes when it comes to posting pics or vids. I feel your annoyance on that front.
As for the second part of your post; I have nothing against Dr.Fate as a character or getting in the game just if they put him as the defacto “magic character” and both my girls get snubbed. THEN I’ll be pissed. As long as I get one of them he could and honestly SHOULD be in the game because he’s definitely the most godlike magic user in DC.
It’d be funny if Cheetah got in, anybody here big Cheetah fan?
Actually I recommended her as a wonderwoman villain a couple of pages back, her or circe. Honestly I would prefer cheetah as we have just mentioned a few magic users i like more. She would be like the wolverine, quick and slashing the heck out of people.
Really I think the three are all good enough that if any get in over the other it is hardly a snubb, as a quality character did get in. Heck there are multiple titans i prefer over raven, but i would be fine if she got in.
On the point of titans: Since Joker is most likely in the only other batman character I would accept is Nightwing. Batgirl (Cassandra or Barbara) is also cool, but the game is close to batman oversaturation,and he is the only one I truly feel deserves a spot on his own merits (so far). Leader of multiple teams, officially most liked guy in the dc universe by the other characters, classic sidekick, massive character development etc.
Wonder Woman is shown to be floating all the time as well but she doesn’t seem to be a flight focused character from the glimpse of gameplay we seen. With Supes being the most recognizable character in the game I figure he would be the “Scorpion” of the game. He feels like he should be the character meant to teach you the game.
I forget which source, but I defiantly read his moveset was flightbased. The gameplay seems to back it up. Plus wouldn’t batman be the scorpion?
I always saw Batman as Sub-Zero.
