Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

That’s part of the way it’s fun to try to figure out things now; It’s pretty great when you’re right.

But that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have done the animations any better. If the characters look “real” then why not have the animations be within the realms of believability that comes along with that? I’m not saying don’t have crazy outlandish moves, just make them look “cooler”.

This is in response to your prior post, xes. Typed it up earlier but didn’t have a chance to submit until now.

I’m saying that the animations look weird because of theuncanny valley effect. I probably could have been more clear, but I think I said that exact thing at some point and wanted to mix it up some

The other thing could be that it is really early, so they’re still refining animations (see: the obviously recycled MK animation), and they’ll be cleaned up substantially by the time the game is more done.

Trust me, I know all about the uncanny valley, and that’s not really the issue here. Even if these animations were on less realistic characters they would still look stupid and clunky. It’s the problem I’ve had with all the MK games since after 2.

I used to be a huge MK fanboy back then but it got to a certain point, probably when characters had moves that were just punching the other character in the face with alternating fists, that I just started to realize how stupid it all looked.

its because srk is a capcom fan site, and 99% of the haters usually are capcom fanboys that more than probable have not even played the games that they hate on

Special button dedicated to special character trait at cost of meter. Wonderwoman stance switches, Grundy has chain throws that buff him.

Unique air normals

I know this is just me, but I hate video interviews. I want to be able to skim the blather and get to the meat in a way that’s easy to go over.

The animation does look unusual but to be honest it’s gonna happen when you have realistic looking characters. Could you imagine how akward BB would look if the characters looked like real people.

I was right on the special move button.

So is it the third button or the fourth? Eventually I’ll break down but I don’t wanna watch the interview right now.

Apparently, CDjr and Tom Brady have played Injustice and have positive things to say.

5 buttons, light, medium, hard, special, environment

I think “Special” may be more like “Drive” than “Special Move”, or at least hoping.

Seems to tie into the meter, which I think will make it it’s own beast.

Cue ‘One button specials’ discussion now!

I tend to think it’ll just be an extra thing, for the reason Sandwich said. So yeah more like the metered versions of Drive

So does the game still have input specials or is I just smash style 1 button specials?

Also can someone please explain wtf the environment button does and how it works?

netherealm games like mk9 look like barbie dolls on strings, they move like it aswell, injustice is on the same wagon… they will never get the fluid motion that capcom does with their games…

Capcom animations are better but I think it’s largely due to the terrible character models and explosive particle effects. I can imagine how bad sf4 movement would look with mk9 realism, although the animation doesn’t really bother me as long as the movement itself is fluid.

Like xes put it, it’s more like the drive moves in blazeblue tied to meter. There will still be regular specials

As for environment there are items in the environment you can interact with by pressing the button

Not much new, confirmation of 60 fps, and wonder woman has a divekick
