I think the block button debate is moronic and not a big deal as people who like to argue about it think it is.
The Block button has ZERO effects of rushdown in Mortal Kombat because people still don’t understand that Mortal Kombat is still a offensive game, and is ruled by characters that rush shit down.

I can easily see them putting in Poison Ivy. She seems like a character NR / Ed would be very interested in.

Block button will always be in MK so it’s whatever. I would like if the stage interaction only worked in the corner to extend combos because that would be kinda cool and make stage position really important.
Having back as block is smart to rope in the idiots who think games can’t be good with block button and get them used to the Mkstyle without it actually being MK. Boon is smarter than I thought…

This is the honest truth. People are creatures of habit. (some)People are so used to holding back to block that they are too stubborn to accept the block button. Despite people(like me and others) who switch between having a block button(VF5) and pressing back(GG/Tekken). Thus they will dismiss a game because of their stubborn nature. Petty isn’t it?
You can see a ton of reused animations in the teasers because the game is so far out. It’s placeholder stuff and will almost certainly be replaced.

It’s about differentiation though. The most important distinction in normals is generally attack strength/speed. Punch/kick doesn’t have much practical difference in and of itself (excepting legs being longer than arms anyways :p)

Since I already have my two favorite DC characters, there aren’t many more characters I’m looking forward to. I hope for Rorschach, but he’s unlikely. The only two other people in the actual universe I would care for are Big Barda and Static. Roster will probably end up like this.

Will people shut the fuck up about the costumes??? Boon confirmed days ago that every character will have more than one outfit and he specifically mentioned some will get “classic costumes” for one of their alternates.
Of course Batman and Supes have many “classic” looks so them along with Wonder Woman, Joker, and the more popular characters will likely have more than one.
Mileena is one of the most popular MK characters and she had 4 outfits so I’d imagine the Holy Trinity gets the same. I actually like many of the new outfits personally especially Flash’s and WW’s, love her in pants.
Because some people are against the idea of having to pick a direction when blocking cross-ups.
Harley’s costume looks pretty cool, it’s kinda similar to her new 52 costume. Just wish the blue wasn’t so dark.
I don’t have a problem with Batman’s costume, but Flash’s does look… not good.
They should go with the Ed Benes version
I really don’t like the new Starfire costume. I also didn’t like how she looked like a bimbo in the beginning of the new 52, but apparently it’s because some alien shit.
I swear in my time playing GG, most BnBs were like 5-6 hit set ups.
It’s hard not to rant about the Starfire thing, but I should probably wait until we see if she’s actually in the game
