Harley looks like the coolest one of the bunch oddly.
According to TYM (and Jeff Gerstmann’s twitter), block button is out.
Well, it’s not really that bad. I mean, at least it looks kinda cool and 80% of her skin isn’t showing.

Do not dress up my Starfire like this, Ed Boon, or I will rip out your spine. Do you hear me? YOUR SPINE!
So don’t make Starfire look like she does 95% of the time
Not impressed with the gameplay I saw, looks like MK vs DC without the MK. But I have faith in Boon and its still early, so I will keep in good spirits.
I’m pretty sure they cut out 4 or 5 of her straps for that outfit. And besides, I did say “My Starfire”. And since it’s been established I don’t read many comics and love Teen Titans, my Starfire looks like this.

some demo game play
They should go with the old look, crazy fro and all.

It’s actually pretty amazing watching the ‘evolution’ (term used VERY loosely) of that character from her '80s incarnation to now. It’s exactly what you’d think comics writers would do. (Not that she was particularly prudish to start with, but still)
In addition to the Block Button being gone, according to TYM, this game will be a 3 button game, with a 4th button reserved stage interactions. Very interesting…guess they really are trying to showcase that they can do more than make one type of game.
Good find. I’m glad it will be both different from MK in some areas and similar in others. I’m cool with the block button switch, as long as it doesn’t carry over to the mk series proper, I feel that it is an important part of it’s feel at this point (others may disagree but its imo)
EDIT: They are apparently making a new netcode
Lack of ‘Block’ makes me weirdly sad, but that might just be contrarianness. I’m guessing then that they’re also removing universal chip.
I’m not gonna lie, this game still feels like a mk game in my heart, despite my brain saying it is a totally new thing, considering that it is done by the group that has done nothing but mk for years. This will most likely continue until I see more of the differences in gameplay footage, which will probably make it hit home. Because of my association of the block button as a vital part of mk, along with this games mk feeling makes me 50/50 on the switch. Sometimes I feel it needs the block button because it is mk, and sometimes I feel it’s not mk so the change is good. If that all makes sense.
Oh totally, I kind of suspect that’s why they’re changing it too, to differentiate it from MK further. Which kind o makes sense, it just changes the nature of mixups like a LOT.
Yep, really is a smart move, gives them 2 series to break up the monotony a bit, and finally gives dc its own time in the limelight. When mvc3 hit, i honestly kind of wished they would have just made an all marvel game again at some points, it’s nice to see dc at least get that opportunity.
I’m guessing the 3 others buttons will be P K and “Superpowers/Unique Attack”
Curiosity is increasing.
no block button?
good riddance
I’d guess ‘attack strength’, its probably basically a BB/MvC3 input scheme (with Interact replacing Drive/Exchange). There’s a ton more difference between Light and Medium as compared to Punch and Kick
Anime button scheme? That would be surprising to me.
I wonder if the game is going to have a gatling type system like GG/BB/Marvel or a MK9 premade combo type thing going on for it.
Why is block button actually missed? (serious question no troll)
