I’m not arguing against numpad notation. I can understand it just fine. I personally feel Tekken notation fits better for this game and which why that’s the one I’ll be using. If it swifts to numeral it won’t bother me.
I actually think part of the reason people use Tekken notation for NRS games is that while Tekken has LP, RP, LK, RK, Mortal Kombat has traditionally had LP, HP, LK, HK. Thus, the two can be seen as relatively similar. It also kind of fits the games in terms of pacing and the move combinations that the two have. Compare this to a game like Blazblue where it’s Light-Medium-Heavy-Drive, or other games with notable quarter-circle, half-circle, and 360 motions, and the 236A motion makes more sense than down-downforward-forward 1. I’m probably rambling nonsense by now though.
The b.mp is special cancelable so i tried to do b.mpxx Lasso grab or b.mpxxAmazon uppercut and the both combos . Or maybe you can do b.mp >s.Rh > meter burn wall bounce . I will actually go test that see if it works or not.
It’s weird, I’m having such a tough time combo-ing j.MK with Batman into a string. I mean you see the stagger after the j.MK but it doesn’t register as a combo.
Demo… Button config is distracting, because I always play 3 button games as X,Y,B, with A as special/dash/parry/whatever. This is also the first 3 button game where you cant chain or link, which is weird. I dont know how I feel about canned strings in this.
Lastly it seems like you have to wait on the character to complete the whole landing animation after a jump to attack, making timing too strange after landing a j.attack.
I was more excited before playing. But Ill still grab it…theres nothing else new Im even partly interested in until GTAV
A Batman Beyond costume is confirmed at the end of this video along with some other cool alts. They say that they’re for the iOS version, but I think its pretty safe to say that they’ll show up on the console version too.
After playing the demo, it feels like Injustice takes all of the gameplay mechanics that I don’t like in a fighter and rolls it into one visually unappealing package.
After playing the demo a bit, I put up my full thoughts on the demo and project as a whole as my latest blog update.
Thanks for reading. And for those without the time or interest to click, the long and short of it is this game could have benefited from being more honest with itself.
