It’s worth noting that this is only possible on the PS3 demo because it’s based on an older build (Which is why the control config options invisibly exists as well).
This game uses more than 4 buttons. Interactables and meter being it’s own buttons and the canned strings for combos is more in-line with a 3D fighter than an air-dash game. I feel it works better for Injustice.
You do realize that the only community that uses that notation for 3D fighters is the American Tekken community. Even Japan uses numeric notation for Tekken (and every other game from VF to SF).
Doesn’t really matter. Numpad notation works no matter if you have 4,5,6, or whatever number of buttons. It also works for chains, links, and strings alike.
Why you wouldn’t use the notation that conveys more information with less symbols, is universally understood in all languages, can be applied to all games, and has a legend built into every computer and phone is beyond me.
I really hope that the Doomsday that you fight in the arcade ladder is a boss version not the playable one , because his trait is the most annoying BS i have seen in quite some time , Also its cooldown period is way to short . I really hope that this was addressed in the final version .
Thanks. It’s not quite what I expected but it’s a start!
So if 1, 2, 3 are Light, Medium, Heavy (which btw is it just me or unlike other fighters that use three attack button strengths the differences aren’t as pronounced in Injustice as they are those other games. Light doesn’t feel super fast and light to me like it does in say TvC.) then does that make…
4 = Character Special
5 = Ex Special
6 = Stage Interaction
You can do it either way. You can not QCB (or QCF) and have the input work if you are crouching though with the MK style controls on (which the demo is set to).
1+2 is stage interaction.
1+3 is throw.
2+3 is stance change.
2+3+Burn is super.
The only other two buttons you need are Trait and Burn, so maybe a good layout would be:
1 2 3
B T
Maybe a switch between B and T depending on how you feel?
Yeah, considering how little most characters need to use the Trait button itself I think it works out if it’s out of the way. You also don’t need to use it in combination with any buttons. Having meter burn at A/X seems like it would be better.
I remember reading there was a Roman Cancel in Injustice. Is that gone now?
Some things I noticed about WW and the game: You can cancel off single CR.attacks now, like cr.m, (which replaces the uppercut in MK as the standard AA type attack. though they’re unique for each character and aren’t really like an uppercut in MK) you can also cancel into your trait.
Wonder Womans b.m, s.h is godlike, and also is an overhead. Can’t get much off of it, but the speed and range of this attack, and the fact that its an overhead will make it really annoying to deal with. I suppose if you predict it and jump she’s fucked though.
