Why can a character like T. Hawk or El Fuerte fight M. Bison? why can Stryker fight Shang Tsung? There has NEVER been this problem in any other fighting game but now it’s a big deal all of a sudden? Can someone explain to me why everyone is arguing over this?
I totally agree! Nobody asked why Chun Li could fight the Hulk in UMVC3 or how can Krilin take on Broly in those DBZ games. It’s a video game dammit
In this case it’s a valid concern because NRS wanted to go down the road of making a fighter around a story. MvC3 don’t have to worry about that shit because Capcom gives fuck all about any of their fighter’s story.
Mortal Kombat was pretty story heavy and it didn’t explain why Stryker was fighting poweful beings and no one cared. I do see what you mean though since they are trying to make the story even better. Also they are DC characters and every comic buff wants to theorycraft what character would win in a fight but still, it’s a video game damnit and I am getting really sick of people making such a big deal of this when there is absolutely no reason to.
Even if there was no story mode, people would still ask this question, its because Superman is in the game, and the public has some insane perception that Superman is some invincible immortal and basically a walking god who no one can oppose.
Most of the beings in Mortal Kombat don’t have enhanced defense. Striker can fight because he has the skills to, nothing special about that. It’s…a little different when it comes to the DCU. I’m not particularly worried about it but I understand in this interest because NRS wanted to go this route.
As long as they don’t use “the rage” as the reason why Joker can kick Deathstroke’s ass again I could care less.
