I wonder why they still haven’t released anything for the Joker or Green lantern yet.
There not done yet, they only got revealed because they had to reveal the cover of the game, which has those two on it.
How are Green Arrow, Harley, and Catwoman out of place? There some of the most popular DC characters, and they fight against super powered people all the time in the comics. In fact it makes more sense in the context of this game, since there is some magic maguffin that makes everyone equal, so they actually have a shot at taking down Superman and Wonder Woman, not the flash though, his powers are stupid and beyond broken and no magic is going to nerf him.

it got said, but I’d guess it’s partially based on what they’ve got done. Heck, the deathstroke reveal was a week later than we thought, probably the same reason.
Let me re-phrase that, they’re characters who I think should not have been used.
I know the MK team has always been a slow when it comes to reveals but it really feels like they’re dragging ass with this one, it feels like there is either something very wrong or there is something very big and awesome that they’re waiting to reveal.
And I just thought about something, if someone magically evened the score between superheroes on Earth, wouldn’t that mean the heroes in space aren’t affected by it? So characters that aren’t generally on earth are almost certainly not going to be in this game outside of DLC.
Or there is little benefit to releasing more before you’re ready because you only want to show your game in tip-top shape, otherwise the internet goes crazy.
The probably won’t even release the full roster until the game is submitted, and even then it’ll probably be leaked. Creating trailers takes time.
The reveals are about the same as with MK9.
Well with MK9 they revealed characters faster but they did it in really stupid half assed insulting ways, like revealing Ermac, Jade, Goro, Sindel, Sonya all in fucking Magazines and then not showing gameplay of them until like 6 months later, and by gameplay, I mean a trailer with Noob Saibot punching Jade in the stomach.
The only characters that even got proper trailers where Noob, Raiden, Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, and also Johnny Cage, Mileena, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero got trailers, a year after they where revealed.
Stryker also got a trailer, 2 weeks AFTER THE GAME CAME OUT.
Not quite. At least with MK9 we had some MKasts, a lot more official footage from shows (even from behind closed doors) and even a few combo / gameplay videos here and there even if it was just all Scorpion / Sub Zero. They had an actual website for it, they released renders and concept art, and there was plenty of exposure in the mags and news sites between reveals and content updates.
Its almost like Injustice and NRS vanish into some sort of blackhole inbetween the character trailers. That Batman vs DS trailer was the first gameplay we’ve seen that wasn’t officially dropped at a show or shot over someone’s shoulder with a cell phone cam. Hector and colt’s contibutions on TYM have become nothing more than animated GIFs and single word answers, while Boon, Carlos and Rigo are too busy talking about new phones and tablets to troll.
Not that they have any incentive to change it, because the game is going to print money, but still as a fan its maddening.
Can’t express how much better Wonder Woman’s 52 costume redesign is over the old one. Injustice costume ain’t half bad either
Injustice has its own version of the MKast, the developer diary was the first one, there is supposed to be a second next year. Only problem is there structured to neatly, there not as raw as the MKasts were, and they don’t have any gameplay designers on it, just producers and the tech people, and they know jack shit about the actual game.
The game is getting a comic adaption? Sweet. Who’s the creative team?

I know what you’re saying, but still, by this point in MK9s marketing run we had both MKasts proper and we had those goofy "What would you do with. . . " videos from the staff. We knew Kratos was coming, there were environmental bios and we knew a shit ton more about what kind of modes and content we were getting in the game. Looking back over it all on Youtube, it almost seems almost petty how much bitching we did in hindsight. If we only knew one day they’d starve us even worse,
Edit: I rewatched some of those gameplay vids, man, I’m really hoping Paulo and the actual people who know how to play are busy making it shine, because the quality of trailer gameplay has really dropped.
I kinda wish I was 15 again so I could just flat out get excited about being able to play as my favorite comic book character and not have to worry about being a fucking fan or giving a flying fuck as to whether or not they belonged in the game.

A while back there was some talk (I don’t remember by who) about alternate characters or something, does anybody remember what interview that was or if there was any subsequent discussion on twitter?
