Nah, the article here says Darkseid and Aquaman are from the New 52 line
Ah sorry about that, didn’t think they would have mixed the two lines together for the picture. With Superman clearly being the Injustice version naturally I thought the other two were as well. Here’s pics of some others as well.
I don’t know the cast, but I know whose been revealed and I see a trend that I don’t quite like.
Injustice: Peak humans amongst us!
…sorry:(
Would you rather they just shoe horn in a bunch of characters they don’t like, or don’t have any ideas for, or should they just keep it in development hell until the ends of time because they just can’t get plastic man’s super to work right?
I’m not saying there aren’t cooler characters than who they’ve picked or even that I like all their picks, but the entire FGC to think that game design, balance, and inspiration just grow on trees. That a team just sits down with a whiteboard full of names and just throws darts to determine the cast. As if somewhere in the powerpoint presentation it says “let’s not make a critically acclaimed super successful game like our last one, lets just phone it in activision style.”
You think Hsien Ko fans are happy she’s in MvC3 even though she’s awkward and stupid and totally doesn’t fit the game? Nobody’s ever going to be happy with a fighting game cast, but at least if they make a dynamite game, the real players will get over it and find someone to use.
Well to be frank if they can come up with moves for characters who’s weapons were mainly guns, imagine the vast palette of moves at their disposal if they added characters like Metamorpho who could have full screen zoning with his limbs and play like a Dhalsim/Super Skrull mix, or a character like Booster Gold who could use time powers to create slowing fields on the battleground so when your opponent enters all they do is slower, or Captain Marvel, or Static, or many other awesome characters rather than just super “humans” with guns.
I mean don’t you feel adding Harley Quinn and Joker is kind of redundant really? I mean, I wouldn’t mind Harley as an alternate for Joker as she’ll just get eclipsed by Joker’s presence in the game anyways. I just hope they’ll consider throwing in more “out there” characters with flashier, more extravagant powers.
They’re fucking superheros, the ideas are already made.
And Hsien Ko’s fans are happy, or they wouldn’t be her fans, they’d just be people who like her character.
There is a difference between just liking something and being a fan of it.
if that’s the kind of game you want, there’s plenty of poverty titles out there to supply the necessary insanity.
Those “meh” guys with weapons and Batman characters are the reason some of us enjoy comics in the first place. I’m not interested in giant dudes made of astro-plasma hurling galaxies made of pure emotion at one another, I want to see characters that are at least quasi-relatable struggle to overcome very difficult situations.
And who in the game isn’t a big name? I’m certainly no hardcore comics guy, and I’m familiar with all of the characters introduced thus far.
Also, Catwoman rules. She’s way cooler than that red dude vomiting blood all over himself. He needs to get a grip.
Any guesses on which Mortal Kombat fighting stance is going to be blantantly copy and pasted into this game?
Doesn’t the Flash have Johnny Cage’s stance?
Redundant how?
Disregarding the fact we have no idea what kind of character Joker is yet, we haven’t seen any two characters in the game who play remotely alike. If he’s anything like his MKvDC counterpart, his gunplay won’t be anything more than a novelty. Are Chris / Wesker / Jill the same character? Wolverine / X-23? Dante / Trish / Vergil? Ryu / Ken / Akuma / Sakura / Gouken / Dan? How many of them are redundant?
Think about it from their standpoint. What if they had good ideas for both Harley and Joker? What if they just happen to think both characters are boss? Are they not entitled to use whoever the fuck they want? Or do you really think at the end of the day this game will be better or worse because it has titanically popular DC character a instead of titanically popular dc character b? Think of the alternative. Think of all the hardcore Harley fans who would cry foul over a joker centric plot that didn’t have his right hand girl? Think about the inverse for Joker. Were the Megaman fans satisfied with two other representative from his games AND two alternate costumes? No, they took them as insults, taunts, and trolls.
Your logic borders on incomprehensible. What is the difference between liking something and being a fan? Is it more important that a character is on the character select screen or that they are actually a useable valuable member of the cast? Because I want you to show me the post on capcom unity with all the Megaman fans saying “thanks you capcom for fat akward comb-over handgun megaman. we don’t care if he’s a crappy addition to the cast no one will ever use we’re just happy he’s in the game.”
I don’t get the Catwoman hate. I’m not a huge fan of hers, but she’s pretty much tailor made for a fighting game from just about every conceivable angle, and I can’t wait to try her out despite liking plenty of other characters that haven’t been announced more than her. I get having favorites and all, but this is dipping into gamefaqs mentality now.
Well I will try her out when the game comes out (who knows I may like her when I actually get to play) my main problem isn’t that she is in (i’ve finally gotten over the huge surplus of Batman characters) it’s that I don’t quite think she plays enough like Catwoman IMO. Her whip seems to be barely used, she doesn’t seem quite acrobatic enough, and she seems to play more like cheetah should. Could be just me but she doesn’t seem quite right (her costume, super and intro/exit animations are good though). Everyone else is fantastic.
The only problem i have with Catwomen is that ugly nose.

But thats nothing a animated catwomen costume cant fix.
Look up the definition of a fan.
Example:
I like the Simpsons, I am not a fan of the show, I do not closely or avidly follow anything it does, but I do somewhat enjoy it and some of its features. I wouldn’t really care if it was wiped off of the face of the earth.
I am a fan of Futurama, i’ve watched every episode almost at least twice, I know almost all of the characters major and minor, and I would be greatly upset if it were cancelled. It would take a lot for me to stop liking this show, a few shitty episodes/season would not completely turn me off.
If you’re a fan of something you damn near love it and things relating to it.
If I go by the most popular website on the internet, it appears that the instant you like something you become a fan of it, but whatever. You win, the cast sucks. NRS doesn’t know how to make games.
The flaw here is that even diehard fans of The Simpsons wish it had stopped running years ago
Fuck you for pulling that 5th grade shit, you know damn well I didn’t say that, I just think Catwoman, Harley, and Green arrow are out of place.
I love NRS but I have my own damn opinions and i’ll voice them as I please.
And when I looked up fan I got this:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fan
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fan
http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/fan
http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=fan definition&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
I don’t know where the hell you got your info from, but all the sites i’ve seen(even the Merriam-Webster one) have things along the lines of “avid devotee”, “strong interest” and “enthusiastic follower”. The only one that uses the term like is Macmillan and even then they repeat “very much” as in more than average.
Even google, the most popular website on the internet, acknowledges that a fan is more than just someone who sort of likes something.
somebody remind me why the definition of ‘fan’ is important anyways?
