It’s simple. Most fighting game fans are bitches. No matter what they get, they’re gonna fucking complain about it.

I want dudes like Martian Manhunter who can turn into things or go through people or turn invisible and shit, or Plastic man who can stretch and morph his body and do all kinds of crazy pokes and keep away stuff, or Vixen/Animal Man who can summon the powers of wild beasts, or Metamorhpo who can use chemicals and change his state of matter(which could easily be his gimmick button), or Blue Beetle who actually does shoot lasers, or Aquaman who can use water based attacks, or Amazo who has all the powers of the justice league combined, or Hawkgirl who flies and has a fucking mace, or a red lantern because they use that awesome acid blood stuff, or Capt. Cold/Freeze because they have ice powers, or or Black Adam/Capt. Marvel who can just simply beat the fuck out of people and hurl lightning at them.
Or you know, anyone with awesome powers lasers or not.
Even if any of them are picked I doubt they’d play anything like I expect, but i’d love to have them anyways.
They can make Bane a keep away character and i’d still be glad he was put in instead of some fuck with a crossbow.

Seriously though, ‘cool powers’ doesn’t necessarily translate well to ‘makes a good or cool moveset in a fighting game’. a vast majority of what all the characters do have little or nothing to do with their powers anyways (ie punching and kicking, or swinging weapons)
When you have a huge universe full of creative and destructive characters, and you get to pick around 25 characters out of that universe to be in a fighting game, you don’t pick someone like Catwoman.

Pety: I don’t really think so, especially given the look they’ve gone to with the game.
A lot of the characters people talk about alot in wishlisting either have big technical issues in the way of them being done ‘right’, or don’t really fit the look/feel of the game.
I just don’t think this is the game for whacky body transformations &ct.
Was Captain Marvel put into this game? He’s the natural counter to Superman aside from Kryptonite. He really should be in it.
I already have Flash, and if I play this game he’ll be the only guy I play, so suck by butt all of you.

You guys need to stop asking for characters who transform, Metamorpho, Beast Boy, its not going to happen.
The closest were going to get to something like that is Martian Manhunter, and his moveset will probably be all his other powers, and maybe if were lucky his super will have him transform, like Lius dragon fatality.
For the record, Green Arrow may use a bow, but he is the single flashiest character in the game, his moveset is way more interesting then anyone else, it would be a huge hit to the game to lose GA, because right now, maybe outside of Cyborg, everyone else looks fucking bland.

Why is it hard? transform to do a special move, that isn’t impossible.
Like, a kabal dash move were Metamorpho turns into a mist of gas and flies through the opponent stunning them, or MM having a command grab where he turns into a dragon or something. Or with plastic man have him turn his fists into hammers/maces/swords during combos.
Booster gold is flashy as hell, if they needed someone flashy they should have picked him.
It should be whacky as hell, why would you make a superhero fighting game and not make it whacky and over the top? All of that shit about over the top supers and Flash/Superman’s is the only one that is really spectacular, the others are just “oh thats pretty cool”, have you seen Nightwing’s? He just hits from his motorcycle a couple of times, not even with the motorcycle, then he jumps off and hits you with a fucking stick.
I love NRS and i’ve played/grown up with every MK game to date but they really should have picked based on characters instead of story, now all they have is 4 of the big names, some Batman characters, and some “meh” guys with weapons.
Now that I think about it, I don’t think Shang Tsung transform in any of the 3D MK games outside of an intro or fatality.
in 9 he transforms into (and only into) his opponent, since they’re already loaded.
I think I read somewhere he can only transform into 3 different characters per match, the 1 or two characters on the other side, or 1 or 2 random characters plus whoever you picked in ladder mode.
As a boss he can transform into the opponent and 2 random others. In a vs. match he can only transform into the opponent.
It’s a memory issue. The game expects to have a maximum of 4 characters loaded at a time (tag).
Is Pter Lupinko in disguise? Does he know the cast?
Full cast transformation has not been capable since the death of the cartridge medium, and probably will never return. About the closet equivalent in the 3d medium was Shinnok in MK4 where he could adopt anyone’s movelists but maintained his own model but everyone said it was stupid.
If you’ve ever used Combot or Mokujin in Tekken and experienced the “lag” that happens inbetween every round, or played KoF or DoA or one of those games where random select actually re-randoms on rematch you can see just how far they still have to come tech wise.
