Sometimes I feel that the only way we’re gonna get a good MK vs SF if it ever happens, is if the devs just make a good fighter but sacrifice making a good crossover gameplay style.
I tried to come up with a system myself but it just never felt like a good fit…something important was always lost from both sides.
Although upon reading this I will have to reconsider my stance. While the SF cast has superior normals and pressure, they lack the zoning options and nearly every projectile user in SF is instantly nullified to most of the MK guys. I could imagine kabals low fireball fucking up every shoto and charge character…and the MK cast do got them crazy target combos that go hi and low. The 1 bitch match I could foresee is gief vs sub zero…dat clone would ruin him lol.
Theoretical match though between someone like SF4 2012 Ryu vs Mk9 scorpion would be interesting though.
I’m prone to think that’s the proper way anyways. Trying to just mix an match disparate series just ends up with the good feel of neither.

Is it more realistic? Yes, of course, but then again, it’s just a game.
To me it feels like good blocking gets not rewarded, since your chances to get perfects are much lower, if you’re forced to block and lose HP already :-7
But hey, maybe it’s just me.
a. Good blocking gets rewarded by you know, not losing the match. Unless you’re just mega-godlike, actively pursuing a perfect is the most counter productive practice imaginable.
b. MK has universal chip because of the block button. I shudder to think of the awful turtle fest that would ensue without it.
c. Most recent build (Arrow + Catwoman) has universal chip, so safe bet its sticking around.
universal chip is the simplest, best way to encourage more aggressive play and discourage turtling.

The roster is looking good so far. Lets get some Martian Manhunter, Beast Boy, Killer Croc, and Dr. Fate in this game now.
Probably won’t happen, those guys all have cool super powers and don’t rely on weapons to fight.
I could see Martian Manhunter since he’s gonna play a big role as Trinity war gets closer. I hope for Beast boy personally but I doubt it and the I don’t even recall seeing Croc or Fate in the N52 yet so chances are slim.
