Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

I don’t blame you, because you’re just the average Joey who doesn’t think about the things he reads.

Everything around Batman is a bad lie.
He is a man, who dresses up as a bat, because he wants to revenge the death of his parents, so that no young child would lose his parents anymore because of some villains.
He goes out and he stops the villains of Gotham City, puts them into Arkham, until they break out and kill some more people. He doesn’t want to become like them, he says - but in the end of the day, he does nothing to stop crime in Gotham, since more and more people die.
Why all that? Because it’s a ridiculous plot device. Everything the god damn Batman does, is a plot device. In a realisticly written comic someone like the Joker would be dead after one event, because he is just a skinny ass guy, who is protected by the plot.

Everything around Superman is a bad lie.
He has a lot of power and he stands for the American way; he stands for justice. In the end of the day, he basically does the exact same things as Batman. He fights and he never really does something.

Everything around Sentry is the fucking truth.
Sentry is a hero you would actually have, if heroes were real. Sentry kills, if he thinks it’s neccessary. He killed Carnage without breaking a sweat, because it was the right thing to do, since Carnage is Marvels Joker.
Sentry is a human with godlike powers, far more so than Superman and he could save the world, but everyone would break under that much power and so did he.
Humans are a fucked up species. More fucked up than dolphins.

Sentry may be hated by most of the readers, but mainly because they’re not willing to accept anything else than Superman and Batman, simply because they like the consistancy.
And as it looks you all like rape. Hey, you’re like dolphins.

i had to check the address to make sure i was not browsing tumblr

What use does he need? He’s fucking batman, he’s just there, he isn’t a plot device or the best superhero ever, at most he’s just a guy they use when they need someone to have some kind of ridiculous back-up plan to save the day.

I find that Batman stories/shows/movies/whateverthefuckelse are always better when its just batman solo, no mentions of supes or Robin or anyone else, just Bats against a bunch of thugs and psychos.

I’d love it if they cut batman out of the DC Universe, no Justice league/groups, maybe a robin or two, no batgirl, no crazt fucking powerhouse aliens/gods/demons attacking the earth or anything.

If not that then at least have him be mostly left to Gotham unless other really need help doing shit.

And the whole “he’s as bad as the villains he fights” thing is obvious and has been discussed thousands of times, it was even a big thing in the Red Hood movie they released. They even had a 2 part episode on the Justice League about it(involving all superheroes not just Bats), even little kids understand how crazy it is.

We all know Batman is a crazy motherfucker and that he doesn’t make sense a lot of the times, but he’s still an amazing character and he’ll always be awesome.

No.

So, did 9/11 happen in the comics? I assume it did but I find it incredibly hard to believe since there are so many damn superheroes in New York, and a good amount of superheroes who can see(or hear) shit like that coming from a mile away.

You see every single current president of America in Marvel comics talking to Captain America and giving him orders.
What makes you think that Marvel would leave out something like the 9/11?

Because terrorism is a sensitive topic? And rape isn’t?
Violence is without a question a sensitive topic as well, but nowdays you need far more than your usual kills to shock people.
The best example in the recent years was the airport scene in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. There was also a scene in MW3 with a child and a bomb, but it doesn’t top the one from the prior game.

PS: There were actually quite few comics based on the 9/11. Mostly you saw the heroes arriving on the scenery, when it already happened and feeling totally helpless.

Believe it or not, but Carnage is actually based on the Joker. His creator had Joker in mind, when he created Carnage and his personality.
Additionally to that there is a crossover comic where they want to put Carnage into Arkham Asylum, but he lets them do it, simply because he wanted to meet Joker, his idol and role-model.
Spider-Man and Batman then team up to stop Carnage and Joker.

No, because

Again, you are just the dumbest fucking ass.

You just posted about how this topic was discussing rape too much and we should get back to talking about injustice:

Then the discussion gets away from rape and on to Batman, then *you bring it right back to rape, *twice.

You’re right and I’m wrong. There you have it. Does that make you happy now?

Why the hate towards Batman all of a sudden? Say what ever comes out of your ass about him being overrated or outdated but hes still getting shit done, I may not like other super heroes but I dont over analyze it like a mad scientist why I dislike them thats grade A douchery at its finest and it doesnt make you smart.

Posting Nolan’s Batverse is not helping Batman out in this thread at all.
The three Nolan movies were okayish at their best. The RIDICULOUS amount of plot holes and STUPID decisions ruined the movies for me big time. Especially the third movie, damn… Terrible.

Michael Keaton Batman > All the other live action Batman movies.

Yeah because everything about Batman was made for you right?

Fuck You! :coffee:

hi guys so this is the injus… oh my bad, that fella must have given me the wrong address.

No, but the funny thing is that Nightwing and Red Hood are two of my favorite comic book characters.
They don’t struggle to kill sometimes. I like them.
I like Batman when he goes out and breaks legs. But he is usually not written like that.
The movies were a totally different story. Batman was written hugely out of character and the plot holes were so bad that only idiots could see past them.

the thing i hate the most about that movie is bane’s nationality and mask. that fucking mask. they could have made it at least a little bit like the comics.

I would have prefer something more comic like as well, because the comic Bane is pretty badass, but there was so much more wrong with the movie.
I would say by now basically everyone watched it, so there is no need for a spoiler warning:

  1. At the beginning of the movie Bruce Wayne is not Batman anymore. He retired 8 years ago, because of Rachels death (out of character, since Batman wouldn’t retire - such a moment would encourage him to break even more legs and be even a better Batman).
  2. Catwoman comes along, steals the necklace of his mother and now he finally has the motivation to become Batman once again, even though there was more fucked up shit in the past.
  3. He pulls a gadget out of his ass, that completely heals his leg.
  4. He gets out of the underground-prison and throws down a rope, so that the other prisoners can escape as well? (How many of them are murders)
  5. Talia invests BILLIONS of dollars into the development of that weird Waynetech gadget, so that after many years of work it could be turned into a nuclear bomb? (Fuck woman, go to the black market and buy a nuclear bomb - it will be more than enough to destroy Gotham City).

There are even more plot holes, but these few are quite heavy.
Oh yeah, and Batman died in the end of the movie. No matter how much anyone here wants to believe differently. And if you still don’t want to believe it, then enjoy the fucked up relationship between Alfred and Bruce, which was out of character for both characters from the very first beginning of the movie.

Oh yeah how would that look like? Bane having a Mexican mask, a luchador dictator and conqueror sure that be really scary just as soon I dont spit my milk. You want something comic book like? go for Joel Schumacher’s movies.

Obviously there are comic like influences in the films but when people say ‘realistic’ they mean that Nolan keeps his films as grounded as can be expected given the genre.

The past two Nolan Batman films are in fact thematically layered is what makes them stand out to an adult watching them. Begins had the themes of fear and loss, and the difference between justice and revenge and the journey that Wayne goes through to see that difference. The Dark Knight brings the question of how far does a hero go before he becomes what he is fighting against; and how strongly is our society bonded by laws and what people will do without them.

That’s interesting stuff, if you have the brains to see it.

Im not going to argue with you since no one here seems to really give 2 shits about your opinion anyway. You want a better Batman movie? Go make one since you seem to have everything figured out until you get out of your fat chair let me know how it goes for what its worth Nolan may have not kept faithfull to its source material but its a revision even myself would let him get away with since it was that well played. Cliche but Haters going to Hate good day smart ass.

Wow, now you’ve shown me really who the man is.
I never said that Bane needed to wear the exact same mask as he wears it in the comics. That would be comical and stupid. But the mask as it stands by itself does offer you some nice ways to come up with a good looking movie mask.

I never denied that.
I just said that the movies suck, because of the huge amount of plot holes and bad writing. Also them writing the characters out of character. That has nothing to do with realism.

Everything you just stated is so obvious, that it’s kinda pathetic that you actually needed to state it, because you actually seem to believe that someone didn’t get that in the first place.
Also, please go out and re-watch the second movie.

The movie doesn’t show our society in the slightest. Not even in the slightest. The second movie is SO full of cliche writing, it’s not even funny anymore.
Harvey Dent went full psychopath, simply because his face burned and because his beloved one got killed. There was never an explanation of insanity or something like that. He simply went psychopath and was even willing to kill a child.

The scene in the ships, where some prisoners stand up to throw away the trigger and then they’re all silent and know that they did the right thing? Cliche.

Having a guy in the movie who knows the identity of Batman and having everyone else knowing that he knows the identity of Batman and simply ignoring him afterwards? Retarded clicheness.

Man, you can be as much of a Batman fan as you want and I’m truly sorry if I actually hurt you personally by making fun of the movies and the character as well, but either you face the fact that the Batman movies are very, very overrated and at many points even BAD - or you don’t. It’s up to you.
I’m not going to follow the flow, simply because there are some people who are that easily impressed and feel like they need to try to “diss and bash” me, because the think that my opinion sucks.

I’m not taking anyone serious in these forums and I don’t expect anyone here to take me serious, so behave like that and fucking chill out, children. Why so serious, even though it’s not that serious!?

I thought that this was the Injustice thread, not the rant about a movie because it’s not like my lolcomicz thread

So considering that the returning characters from mk vs dc have changed quite a bit, what do you guys suppose will be changed with deathstroke if he gets in?

This is what NRS’ slow drip of information and media does to people.

Boon’s longing for the days of the past with game magazines and printed fatality lists means that until at least the demo comes out and gets mined for data, we’ll be left with a dead thread or tangentially related discussions.

It would be great if they would just put out some match videos, maybe we should all be requesting that on twitter?
